Description
We are a couple in the 60's that lives in an old house with mainly wood heating.
Our property is 4 acres and contains lawn and some cropeland, fruit trees and berry bushes.
This year we are opening a little shop in our garden selling DIY projects.
We are growing our own vegetables, fruit and berries.
We practice organic cultivation of vegetables and herbs. We make things out of driftwood, sewing, painting and other things that we need. We are creative and we are constantly finding new things to do.
We have chickens and cats.
We have a boat, enjoy outdoor activities like fishing. There are beaches, 1 km from the house. We live in a rural setting, 2 kilometers to the nearest shop.
We also like to go fishing, sunbading, relax, read and watch movies.

Kirsten and Edwin are very kind people with whom we really felt like at home. We gathered raspberries, dug and painted the house. We also went fishing with them, and they showed us their neighborhood. We tasted a lot of great local meals. It was a really nice experience. We enjoyed the entire stay.

I just stayed with Kirsten and Edvin for one week but have known them for almost a year now. I have been using Workaway to travel for a year and I can say from experience that these two hosts really do care about their volunteers. Between the warm atmosphere and home cooked meals I felt at home very quickly.

Two lovely girls from Spain entered our house for 12 days, and worked with gardening, cleaning, baked cakes, coockies and maid food for us all. They clipped hedges, washed the chicken coop and general gardening. We have been on trips and have had a lot of fun together. Creative and helpful girls. We hope to see you again. Kirstens and Edvins place was my first workaway experience. I guess I was lucky to have great hosts. They make you feel welcome to their home. Farsund is nice if you like quiet countryside. I was happy to live there 1 month.

I spend such a wonderful time with Kirsten and Edvin, also all of they friends are great persons. Working in this place was always fun, they give me many different tasks and I learn many new things. These people are very warm and creative. I never feel bored. I definitely will visit again in their charming home.

Yes, this was my first Workaway experience, and it was wonderful!
I stayed with Kirsten and Edvin (and their cat, Frig) for two months.
The area is beautiful. You can walk to the beach, the nearby fjord, or take a hike to the mountains! The house is cozzy and warm.
