  Description

  A collective of enthusiastically professionals is setting up a Centre for Early Years Education in Luanda, Angola. We need help with preparing marketing materials, day to day projects for children's 0-12, establishing play facilities (mostly wood work), establishing permaculture gardening. Food preparation, occasional cleaning, Translation and classes for Portugese, English, German
  
  You will live and eat in the project in a nice area of Luanda next to the sea: as part of our team.

  We work to improve the needs of children and young people. We act and do this practically, but we also reflect and in that way we are constantly learning. Therefore, challenging yourself applies to both practical improvisations and creation, as much as the analyses of what you will be experiencing in the interaction with the team members. Luanda is a 10 Million People city with many different nationalities and so learning and dealing with different communication styles is an important part of our work. Connecting different generations is another aspect, offering possibilities and different views.
  We are building- step by step- a new daily reality for the children we take care of. I was a workaway host during 12 years of working in the same field in the Netherlands, 1 year in The Gambia and 2 years in Germany.
  Many of my WorkAwyers have stayed longer than originally intended since they also found a sense of fulfillment and enjoyed making a real difference.
  Most WorkAwayers remain in contact or even visit regularly, so in that sense coming to stay with us, will mean joining a community of people, which offers you and others a permanent place to be welcome, an equal part of a whole...

  Aide

  A collective of professionals is setting up an International Early Years ِEducation Center in Luanda, Angola.
  We love meeting new people and work towards accomplishing this collective goal.
  
  I have a rich working experience in community development, community art and have already set up a kindergarten in the Gambia.
  
  We are particularly interested in people who speak Portugese and Engels or German. But even if you do not speak Portugese, but you are a Childcare or Teaching professional or Artist/Musician or Permaculture Gardener…. If you have experience of working creatively with children, we are interested to hear from you.
  
  We are planning to have chickens and goats, great if you are part of the team that takes care of them.

  We can offer accommodation and food on-site. We have good quality indoor shower and toilet facilities and a communal kitchen.

  Possibilité d’accueillir les digital nomads

  Its a good WiFi connection with the help of a small router that can also be carried outdoors, but at times the connection is not stable, just like water- which often stops for some hours. However there is a local well nearby where water can be fetched and on the compound Kris takes care of security matters and helps with carrying water and every challenge that maybe occuring. Between July, August and September there are also 3 or 4 ASA students working on the compound.
