We spent a wonderful 2.5 weeks with Sanne, Maxine and their adorable three kids! From the first day we arrived, we felt like we were part of the family! Sanne made the most amazing meals, and dinner time was always so much fun, and a great way to practice our French! Sanne and Maxime were super patient and informative when it came to any French
… read more language questions, and they are both funny, nice, warm, welcoming and engaging people. They even baked a homemade tart when it was Sarah's birthday (so delicious!) and gave us some of the homemade jam they made. The workload was super manageable, with most of it being garden work, pressure washing, painting, or just playing with the kids (which was always a pleasure and never felt like work- we miss them so much!) Our sleeping space was awesome as well- a beautiful room at the top of the house with a big bed and plenty of space to relax, a couch, and a TV. And the swimming pool- wow! Their whole outdoor area is amazing, and lovely to relax in during the summer. Maxime dropped us off for a day trip to Lyon as well, which was super fun! And on our last day, they invited some friends over and cooked an absolutely delicious feast! This Workaway was truly amazing, and we'd recommend it to anyone who wants the experience of immersing themself into French culture and living with a super warm, friendly and energetic family! We'd love to come back! Thank you Sanne and Maxime!

Sanne, Maxim, the little girls and the two cats gave us four wonderful weeks.
For our first workaway experience, we were given our first insights into French culture. We were taken to friends' houses and given various tips on places to visit, fresh markets and restaurants, which we really enjoyed.
We did some gardening work and renovated some
… read more rooms and furniture in the house.
The two of them make sure that you have enough time to rest and relax. You quickly feel at home. We really enjoyed eating meals together, talking in the evening, playing a game or watching a film together. The jacuzzi was of course a particular highlight on Robert's birthday. We will also miss the two girls Indy and Loua very much after their endless tent-building activities. ♥️

Robbert et Nathalie sont formidable et très gentil. C'est très agréable de passer de temps avec eux et c'est un vrai plaisir de les accueillir chez nous. Ils parlent très bien Anglais et ils essaient de parler en Français aussi. Robbert cuisine super (!) bien et Nathalie adore faire des gâteaux 🥧🍫. Ils ont fait beaucoup de travail dans le jardin
… read more comme tailler de buissons, des arbres et des petit bricolages. Ils nous ont aidé également avec des petit tâches dans la maison ainsi que des bricolages à l'intérieur et babysitting. Ils respectent très bien les règles à la maison. On passe de temps ensemble, mais ils nous laissent aussi passer de temps chez nous que en famille ce que je trouve important.

Robbert and Nathalie are great and very nice. We like to spend time with them and it's a pleasure to have them at our home. They speak well English and they try to speak some French as well. Robbert is a great cook (!) and Nathalie loved to bake 🥧🍫. They have done lots of work in the garden such as cutting bushes and trees as well as some little construction work. They also help us in the house and have done some babysitting. They respect our house rules. We spent some time together the evening and weekend but they also do their own thing, so we have some time alone as a family which is important for us.

We were very happy to have Carla at home. She is adorable and someone who you can trust easily. She helped us with the garden, cleaning tasks and she entertained the girls sometimes. I am happy that I could teach her some French! We had dinner together most of the time and enjoyed some time together in the pool, spend some time with our friends

I had a very positive experience with Sanne, Maxime, their two adorable daughters and Napolean the cat :D They were so kind and welcoming and I felt like a family friend staying in their house! The work was not so heavy- some garden tasks (always enjoyable for me) and some light housework. On one day off I was able to enjoy a visit to Lyon, and
… read more was kindly dropped off in the city and picked up by Maxime at the end of the day as part of his commute to and from work. I really appreciated that Sanne helped me a lot with my French and enjoyed communicating in French with her two gorgeous little girls! Sanne also cooks amazingly and of course I enjoyed using their swimming pool in their beautiful garden! Truly I felt sad to say good bye, but feel I've made some great friends to keep in touch with! I definitely recommend this household for a Workaway experience!Comentário
