I spent 2 weeks with the family and I loved it so much. I properly felt part of their family within such a short period of time. Noa and Samson were great to look after and I miss sharing my evening apple with them. They were happy to take me anywhere so I got to properly explore the area and even go and see platypus in Eungella. The granny flat

Milly was only here for 2 weeks but from the moment she walked in the front door she just slipped straight into our family perfectly and we miss her lots.
Nothing was ever a bother for Milly and she made our day to day life so easy by just getting in and helping, whether it be cleaning up the kitchen, cooking or looking after the kids.
We have
… read more freshly painted cupboards and nice clean windows plus a stained fence among other things thanks to Milly's efforts.
We would have Milly back in a heartbeat and defiantly recommend her.

Had an absolutely lovely time with Emma, Chad, Samson and Noa. A really delightful family! The work was more than fair and so relaxed, I just did general housework and babysat the kids one morning which was a delight. Emma was always totally willing to drive me around places as well which was so kind of her! I had such a lovely time there and

When I messaged Chris I was in the middle of packing up our house and putting everything in storage whilst looking after 2 babies (one a very challenging 2 year old at that time) and my other half working 6
… read more days a week. I needed some help and Chris was just the lady I needed. She fitted right on in to our crazy house hold.
Chris is honestly wonder women and she can cook and I mean cook ANYTHING and it tastes amazing.
Chris was so easy to get along with and was happy to help me with everything from cooking, cleaning, laundry, packing up the house and fitting just about everything in a tiny little room. She would also help me with my 2 babies getting them fed and looking after them if I needed to do anything. I don’t trust many people with my kids but from the first day I met Chris I knew they’d be perfectly fine in her hands.
Chris thanks again for all your help, I truly wouldn’t of been able to do it with you.Comentário

… read more could possibly happen from doing this workaway is that you’ll leave singing “I like to eat, eat, eat apples and bananas” - a nursery rhyme of Samson’s that’s way too catchy.

With Emma, Chad & Samson I had my first ever workaway experience and it was great!
I had been new to Australia and they really helped me to ease into my new environment; and they have a very calm and warm personality which makes you feel relaxed and comfortable right from the start :)
The work they offer you is more than fair, for example 3 hours
… read more of garden work. But on one day on which there was nothing to do, they just took me to see Newcastle's beaches and the city. As well they are very solidary and forthcoming as they just cooked vegetarian meals during my stay there. Ah yes and the bed in your own guest room is really cozy.
It's perfect if you love small children as the little Sonny is so cute and fun! Such a lovely family enjoy your stay there :)
Nico was a pleasure having around the house as he was always offering to lend a helping hand whether it be in the kitchen cooking or general housekeeping on top of his work we had given him to do. Don’t let Nico’s age deter you he is a hard worker and great bloke and we highly recommend him.

I had a wonderful stay with Emma, Chad & Samson. They are laid back and so easy to talk to and the work was more than fair. I really enjoyed talking to them about their own experiences using WorkAway on their travels through Europe and learning about all of the work they've done renovating their current house.

While there isn't much to do right in Thornton, Emma & Chad were great with giving me rides either to nearby towns or to the train station to take a quick 20 minute ride into Newcastle.

All of the work that I had to do was very relaxed and basically consisted of cleaning up around the house, or temporarily entertaining their adorable baby boy, Samson. Thornton is kind of just your typical suburban area, but you can catch a short/cheap train ride into Newcastle that departs just a couple streets over from their house. By the end of the week, I just felt like I was good friends with the two of them, and was sad to say my goodbyes. Thanks again for everything you guys!!
