I spent one month with Larissa, Arjen, and Annemare, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the very beginning, they made me feel at home with their kindness and generosity. We’ve come to know Colette as an easy going and curious woman who is always enthusiastic and ready to work and give it all. The description on their profile is very accurate in my opinion, I have experienced it as they describe it. The three horses are all beautiful sensitive souls and all different which makes it fun to work with each one of them. They are easy to ride.
The surroundings are really beautiful for trail rides, hikes, bike rides and to explore different villages in the area.
All this - and more, resulted in me staying 2 months instead of the initially planned 1 month.
I would definitely recommend this lovely place and will surely visit them again as soon as I am near.

Levi stayed with us for 2 weeks. Although our (calm and friendly) horses were not so much the challenge for him we did some great other work together. We finished the ceiling of the barn and we made a good start with the wooden fencing. You're a keen learner Levi and it was nice to hear your points of view and insights about different cultures and

… read more let me tell you, this place is a horse's paradise!! I love how the animals get to live there and the attitude towards them - just to let them be and live in a very natural way. I'm so happy to have experienced this way of horsemanship and of course the beautiful trails...
The family is very easy going, open and really want the best for their workawayers! I also was really interested in how they managed to renovate the farm and the autonomic approach to live.
I would recommend other workawayers to stay 3 to 4 weeks or even longer, because then you can get used to the routine of everything and to the animals of course.

We visited Arjen, Larissa and Annick for the first time in the winter of 2020/2021.
Originally we planned to stay only one month, but since we felt so comfortable, we stayed almost 4 months with the Dutch family. There were two other workawayers there during our stay, who felt the same.
We shared our appartement with the other workawayers, did
… read more our own groceries and cooked most of the time for ourselves. Sometimes we all ate together in the house of the Hosts.
All members of the family are very good cooks. So get ready for diverse, fun evening conversations and delicious food!
Their beautiful property is located in the middle of the mountains and even has a stream running through it and some steep rocks. When you look out the window in the morning, fog often moves through the valley.
There's a huge variety of work to be done, so everybody finds a job that fits him. We have made trips with the dogs, cut new paths through the forest, cut down trees, demolished old structures and built new ones.
Everybody here respects your privacy. You can choose to take a day for yourself withouth offending the others.
Generally there is a productive and cheerful atmosphere while working and living together.
We highly recommend this workaway!
This was our second visit and we'll come back for sure!
