Chris and Hayley were great to have visit. They are a great team together, responsible, self directing, cooperative and communicative. It was excellent to have a variety of community projects worked on by Chris and Hayley. I highly recommend them to other hosts.
We enjoyed our 10 days staying with Basil (and GiGi). We found the work very interesting and varied. Our time was well planned out so we knew in advance what we would be doing. Jesse stayed nearly a week with us, and it was great to have him visit. He is a caring, interesting person, a considerate and contributing visitor, who made a great contribution to both our home garden as well as the Community Garden. His interest in community and learning is commendable. I can highly recommend him to other hosts.

Phoebe and Eifion stayed two weeks with us and were outstanding volunteers and house guests. Lovely conversations, lots of projects helped with, communty engagements and sharings. Great that they have chosen to stay on in little Denmark.. Highly recommended !

We spent a lovely two weeks with Basil, Ananda and the gorgeous dachshund Gigi. In that time we did lots of different tasks. One of my favourites was collecting native seeds under licence to establish on a new nature reserve Basil helped create. He was kind enough to spend time explaining to me how NGO's worked in Aus (I worked for them in Wales
… read more and was keen to learn the system here). We also helped various people in the community with their eco-builds, which was a great way to meet different people. There's also lots of community events on including a weekly friendly soup kitchen and board game night. We were meant to go to Perth after two weeks but decided to stay in Denmark we loved it so much. A great week spent at Basil, Ananda and Gigi's home in Denmark. A nice variety of tasks, Basil showed us many of the projects that the place are involved in and it was great to get involved in some of them. We also got the chance to attend the opening of an art exhibition which Basil organised and it was a really lovely experience.

Niamh and Filo were great to have for the week they stayed with us. They are interesting to chat with, excellent at helping out around the house and garden, and hard workers on the community garden and eco projects around Denmark They also shared the cooking, and enjoyed participating in local cultural events on while they were here such as the

We stayed with Basil for a few days at the end of December and spent the festive season together (end December 2022). We couldn't have wished for anything better.
He and his companion Ananda are truly charming, as are their cat and dog.
Basil is a sensitive, interesting and generous man who likes to share his interests, and help people discover
… read more his region. He's curious about everyone and we have had some great long chats. We helped him do some gardening in his garden, planting a tree in a reproduction of a prehistoric forest. He took us to see the kangaroos, an incredible sight.
Ananda is a warm and lovely woman, an excellent cook and very generous. She had planned gifts for our children, which touched us deeply.
The rooms are spacious, bright and very pleasant, making us feel right at home.
