  Beschreibung

  We have tried to make our home as eco-sustainable, off-grid and quiet as possible. We are in the heart of Salento, in the south of Puglia, about 25 minutes from Gallipoli, 30 minutes from Otranto, 40 minutes from Leuca and 30 minutes from Lecce. We are a couple, Stefania and Alessandro and we are hosts on workaway to seek help in carrying on our little house with maintenance and gardening work. We offer a small, very intimate wooden house with a dry bathroom and an outdoor kitchen in a very quiet garden where you can relax and enjoy wonderful sunsets. In your free time, you can visit the wonderful coasts of Salento for a regenerating swim in the sea.

  Arbeit

  We need help with maintenance work on our home such as:
  Simple repairs:
  Agriculture:
  - taking care of the vegetable garden and our olive trees;
  - replenishing the wood supply for the winter;
  - gardening;
  - gathering wild herbs for meals;
  Creative work:
  - help to create a basic rainwater recovery system;
  - mobile chicken coop;
  People with creativity and manual skills will be welcome. We do not require much experience but a lot of good will. For all the work to be done, no expertise is required. The two of us are perfectly capable of doing it, your help is needed to be faster and work less. We will all have the opportunity to learn something new. Exchange ideas and knowledge in order to fill your bags with experience, having fun and enjoying the nature and the surrounding relaxation.

  Unterkunft

  You will stay in a small and intimate wooden house. The dry toilet, shower and kitchen are outdoors, like camping. These are located in our garden, 20 meters from our house. We offer a healthy breakfast and lunch with a vegetarian menu.

  We are is a 3 km from the nearest town, there is no convenient public transport. If you have a car, we can offer a parking space in our house. If you do not have a car, we can organize a transport to pick you up. We can provide bicycles. Our lifestyle is based on environmental sustainability, zero wast, plastic free, reduction of water waste, natural detergents. It will be very appreciated if for the period of time you will spend with us, you will commit to do the same, it will be a great experience for you.
