  Hi! We’re Amanda and Nils, and we live in a house with a garden in the northwestern mountains of Madrid (El Escorial).
  
  We share our life with two dogs (Laika and Bruno) and two cats (Olivia and Martin). They’re all very sweet and affectionate—we’re sure you’ll love them!
  
  We offer accommodation and (vegan) meals in exchange for caring for the animals. This includes feeding them, spending time with them, cleaning the litter boxes, and giving medication if needed.
  
  In return, you’ll get to enjoy a house with two double bedrooms and a small office, a 1,000 m² garden with oak trees and large rocks, a small pool and barbecue area, a terrace, and a beautiful mountain setting. We’re just 5 minutes from the Valmayor Reservoir and right in the heart of the Sierra de Guadarrama.
  
  All essential services (supermarket, pharmacy, cafés, etc.) are just a 15-minute walk away, and Collado Villalba is only 10 minutes by car. There’s also a Cercanías train station right next to the house.
  
  If you feel like spending a few days in the Madrid mountains and you love animals, we’d love to have you!

  Hola! Somos Amanda y Nils, vivimos en una casa con parcela en la sierra noroeste de Madrid (El Escorial).
  
  Compartimos nuestra vida con dos perros (Laika y Bruno) y dos gatos (Olivia y Martin). Son muy buenos y cariñosos, seguro que te caerán muy bien.
  
  Ofrecemos alojamiento y comida (vegana) a cambio de cuidar de los animales. Ponerles la comida, estar con ellos, limpiar los areneros y dar alguna medicación si es necesario.
  
  A cambio, podréis disfrutar de una casa con dos habitaciones de matrimonio y un pequeño despacho, una parcela de 1.000m con encinas y grandes rocas, con una pequeña piscina y barbacoa, terraza y un entorno de montaña precioso. A 5 minutos del Embalse de Valmayor y en plena de Sierra de Guadarrama.
  
  Todos los servicios disponibles a 15 minutos caminando (supermercado, farmacia, bares, etc) y a 10 en coche de Collado Villalba. También estación de Cercanías al lado de casa.
  
  Si te apetece pasar unos días en la sierra de Madrid y te gustan los animales, ¡te esperamos!

  The area is mountainous, perfect for climbing, hiking, and enjoying nature. We’re right next to El Escorial, a historic town known for its famous monastery and rich cultural scene, including concerts, exhibitions, and activities like yoga, among others.
  
  We are a vegan couple, from from the south of Spain so we know many typical recipes, traditions and History we’ll be happy to share.
  
  We also love learning from diferente culturas, travelling and listen to diferentes experiences.

  Care for two dogs and two cats.
  
  The dogs are one large (Bruno, a 2-year-old mastiff mix) and one medium-sized (Laika, a 6-year-old podenco mix). They need to be fed twice a day and enjoy spending time with people. There’s no need to walk them, as they’re fine staying in the garden for a few days—just keep in mind that you’ll need to clean up after them in the garden a couple of times a week.
  
  The cats are older—Olivia is about 12 and Martin is 9. They need to be fed wet food twice a day, and Martin occasionally needs medication mixed into his food.
  
  Their litter boxes also need to be kept clean.
  
  They’re all loving, easy-going animals and get along well with each other.
  
  In addition to caring for the animals, the role includes keeping the house clean and tidy.

  Cuidado de dos perros y dos gatos.
  
  Los perros son uno grande (Bruno, cruce de mastín, 2 años) y una mediana (Laika, cruce de podenca, 6 años). Necesitan ponerles su comida dos veces al día y pasar tiempo con ellos, no es necesario sacarlos a pasear, ya que para unos días están bien en la parcela, lo que implica limpiar los excrementos del jardín un par de veces en semana.
  
  Los gatos son mayores, Olivia tiene unos 12 años y Martin tiene 9. Necesitan ponerles su comida húmeda dos veces al día y eventualmente a Martin hay que echarle una medicina en la comida.
  
  Con ellos también hay que mantener limpios los areneros.
  
  Son animales cariñosos, fáciles y sin conflictos entre ellos.
  
  Además de cuidar a los animales, el trabajo incluye mantener la casa limpia y recogida.

  House with two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, a small office, and a living room with an open-plan kitchen. The property includes a 1,000 m² garden with oak trees and large rocks, a pool, a barbecue area, and outdoor dining spaces.
  
  We provide 3 meals a day and snacks :) As the idea is the Workawayers to take care of the animals and house while we are travelling, we will provide the ingredients for them to cook for themselves.
