We kindly ask that those with no household experience refrain from applying. By "housework," we don’t mean basic tasks learned in school—we’re looking for adults who can manage their surroundings with independence, care, and basic life skills.

Lately, I’ve been spending most of my day cleaning up unfinished tasks left by helpers. Some people don’t take initiative or notice what needs to be done. Even when I give instructions, they feel they’re being scolded and don’t improve. I’d like to avoid such situations going forward, and in some cases, we may have to decline applicants who do not meet these expectations.

We ask for 2 hours of help each day, including the day you arrive and the day you leave. However, if you can’t work on those days, you can make up the time on the following days. Please understand that we don’t accept last-minute day-off requests. Accommodation is provided, but meals are not. It may feel a little crowded when there are many helpers.

Hello! I’m Rie. I live with my husband and two kids in a small countryside town near Mt. Aso, Takachiho, and Tsuujun Bridge. It’s a peaceful place with rivers, mountains, and beautiful nature.

We’re creating a small community where kids and locals can reconnect with nature through farming and simple living. I’d love your help with housework, light farm help, and sharing ideas for renovating our traditional house.

There are not many opportunities to meet my kids, so please don’t expect much interaction with them.

In your free time, feel free to relax, explore nature, or enjoy country life.

To be honest, I prefer someone who works carefully, with good energy and a positive attitude. People who work very slowly or without thinking tend not to be a good match. I truly value those who manage time well and try their best.

Also, due to my tobacco allergy, I cannot host smokers. Please contact me only if you’re seriously interested.

~ chances to communicate with local people
I believe there are two main types of people who help out.
The first type focuses only on themselves—constantly thinking about how to make things easier for themselves or how to save money.
The second type is always thinking about how they can make others happy through their actions.
It’s clear to me that those in the latter group bring true value, and I deeply appreciate them.
As a result, I naturally want to give more back to them, and we build meaningful, heartfelt communication.
At first glance, they may seem like they’re at a disadvantage, but in the end, they’re the ones who gain the most.
I encourage you to take a moment and really think about this.
