  Friendly and creative family seeking a bit of back-up with caring for our children, garden & sometimes our pets. We live in the countryside within 5 minutes walk from a shoreline (lough Foyle) 15minutes walk to the village of Muff with regular bus connections to the city of Derry. (from there there are buses & trains to the rest of Ireland.) We have lots of pets. You would have your own basic accommodation in the form of a mobile home in a small field next to the main family home and we would love to welcome a female Workawayer or two friends travelling together to our family and see what life is like here.

  We can provide you with an opportunity to practice English language, we love cooking and can teach you how to make some Traditional Irish meals if you like. I am also a folk singer so can teach you some Songs if you are interested in that. The location where we live is very safe and beautiful and it is easy to get to Derry and from there to other places in Ireland with good bus connections. There are also many activities in Derry such as wall climbing, libraries, nightlife, cultural events and festivals.
  There are many excellent beaches and opportunities for water sports/ horse riding/ wall climbing/swimming a short drive away. We have a beach just across the road which is nice for walks when the tide is out. There is a couple of cafés, pubs and shops in the village of Muff which is within walking distance from our home.

  Arbeit

  My husband (actor) will be working abroad so I need someone to play, create, & relax with my three home - educated daughters (aged 7,11&13) for two days a week while I am doing my PhD work. They are very chilled out so it’s fairly relaxed household. They like to go for walks along the shoreline next to our house with the dog or go for a cycle along the greenway into the village to the local playground (about 10mins by bike) Some light meal preparation would be helpful but the older girls are also able to make their own lunch. The rest of the time you would be free to do your own thing, meet people, explore, travel around Ireland a bit.
  We have moved into this house not so long ago so if you want to help out building raised beds/poly tunnel/ or general gardening etc. all outdoor help would be very welcome.
  The girls are all very creative and love to be outdoors and care for their many pets so if you like art, music, animals and of course children, you might enjoy this workaway opportunity. You are not required to 'teach' them anything in particular. They would just be happy to get to know you, your culture and language. We will also visit him sometimes so would need you to take care of the pets during this time.

  Unterkunft

  Separate Mobile home in a field next to the house. This has it's own W.C and cold water taps, but shower/baths would have to be taken in the main house.
  There is a bedroom with a full-sized double bed and wardrobe.
  A kitchen area with a small cooker, refrigerator, kettle, Toaster etc. for your breakfast/supper preparation. You are welcome to join our family for lunch and the evening meals but we would request that you prepare and have breakfast in the mobile home as we like to have some quiet family time at breakfast in the mornings.
  There is also a dining/ living space room with sofas, table and storage. We provide all bedlinen and towels.
  The mobile home is usually warm & sunny space over the summer but there is an electric heater and an electric blanket to keep you cosy at night if you need it.

  We usually turn our Wi-Fi off in the evening around 11pm or midnight.

  We have plenty of parking and are happy for you to use the bathroom /kitchen in the house for lunch& dinner but ask that you prepare breakfast in the separate accommodation as we like to have a quiet space for the family in the morning.
