I'm a grandmother who's starting to get tired, and I need help to continue living at home in my large house. Registered on the Workaway website for several years, I'm used to hosting volunteers. I have a reputation for being open-minded and trusting.
I have some very understandable requirements: you must be able to speak French at a beginner's level (I don't speak English), have a driver's license (my car is manual, not automatic), and be a good listener.
The tasks required will be simple: help me with daily life with food shopping, meal preparation, and sometimes, if necessary, driving me to the neighboring village (for medical or other appointments). For your information, I have my housework done by a professional. Small DIY and gardening tasks may be requested.
The house is located in the countryside in a very quiet setting in the Monts du Lyonnais with a breathtaking view of Lyon. The house is 15 km from the center of Lyon.

Je suis une grand mère qui commence à fatiguer et j'ai besoin d.aide pour continuer à vivre chez moi dans ma grande maison. Inscrite sur le site workaway depuis plusieurs années, j'ai l'habitude d'héberger des volontaires. J'ai la réputation d'être ouverte d'esprit et confiante.
J'ai des petites exigences tout à fait compréhensibles: vous devrez savoir parler français au minimum niveau débutant (je ne parle pas anglais), avoir le permis de conduire (ma voiture est manuelle, non automatique), et à l'écoute.
Les tâches demandées seront simples : m'aider dans la vie quotidienne pour les courses alimentaires, la préparation des repas, quelques fois si nécessaire me conduire au village voisin (visites médicales ou autres). Pour info, je fais faire mon ménage par une personne professionnelle. Éventuellement du petit bricolage et jardinage pourra être demandé.
La maison est en campagne dans un environnement très calme dans les Monts du Lyonnais avec une vue imprenable sur Lyon. La maison est à 15 kms du centre de Lyon.

Independent apartment. Meals will be taken together. The working hours requested are 4-5h/day (5 days/week). You are flexible on your hours. Dinner will be taken together.

On a passé deux semaines très agréables: elle m’a appris plusieurs curiosités sur la France, m’a fait découvrir les spécialités françaises les plus connues, m’a fait connaître la nature de Lyon et m’a donné beaucoup de conseils pour la langue.
