  Hello,
  I'm Stella, mother of two boys, Lou 4.5 years and Auri 3 years old. I live 5 minutes away from my mother that lives alone in her house. We are in a small beautiful and quiet village. People are frendly and know each other here. Around there are plenty of activities that can be done in nature such as hiking, river bathing, mountainbiking, climbing and bouldering, canyoning, cicling, mountaineering... nature here is very nice and abundant and offers a lot. We live very close to many valleys and they all have their uniqueness. The lake is only 20 minutes by bike, in Locarno which is the nearest city, nearby there is also Ascona, a very touristic and picturesque village. You can take plenty of plunges in rivers or lakes here around, the spots are magnificent. Also wild herbs and mushroom hounting is perfect when in season. Then there are pump tracks, trails for MTB, boulders, climbing gyms a bit further away.. come to discover our area!
  We will be moving end of July 2025 to another house nearby (walking distance, above my mothers house).
  We are a very open and frendly family and would appreciate someone who is kind, respectful, indipendent, active, loves children and nature. We are vegetarian, like to play boardgames, go for mountainbiking, haunt mushrooms, pick wild herbs and fruits, travel around, play and enjoy life and meeting new people:)

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  Travelers could learn and practice the Italian language and our culture, have fun with us or in the area around here doing sports and exploring nature. Go to Locarno or Ascona to meet people, there are a lot of events going on in summer in Locarno (Film Festival and Moon and Stars which are concerts). You can relax by the river/lake, sunbath, swim, hike to mountains.

  Arbeit

  The main help needed would be looking after the garden (watering, collecting veggies,..), looking after and taking care of the children, cooking a meal sometimes and cleaning the house we are leaving. I'm looking for somebody who has experience with kids and gardening, but also cleaning, cooking and working in a hot climate (it can be very hot here in summer, until 36 C). Also somebody who is strong could be good as we have to move our furniture from one house to another one.

  Unterkunft

  The room is in my mother's house, which you can see on the pictures. She normally lives there alone, but wont be around from 18 July until about 18 august. The house is quite big and now has one more floor (the one we are moving into).

  There are bicycles available to go around. You can reach Locarno in 25 minutes on the bikeroad.
  The room is perfect for a couple of workawayers. Food is vegetarian and simple. We don't throw away food, soo we eat also leftovers, or bread from earlier days. In the morning breakfast is simple, usually bread, butter and jam with tea, lunch is very simple and light: granola, yoghurt and fruits or some leftovers and at dinner then we take some more time to cook.
  We are looking for someone who is responsible, quiet and clean and hard working if there is the need to.
  If we notice that something is not goign well or you don't like it we can end the workaway collab any time from both sides.
