  sustainable, non-profit, off-grid Community in the Algarve
  Our farm is located between Portimao and Lagos, in the amazing Algarve. You can go surfing , kiting, motorbike, bike, hiking, in the nature around us or join in any spiritual workshop/lessons in one of the rainbow/healing communities around Lagos and the hills of Monchique. Party People like to join the famous Pizza Party in the hills behind us.
  Since our own nutrition is very important to us, we grow organic vegetables from origin seeds in our community. For this we are looking for volunteers who want to live in harmony with nature and help in planting the beds, preparing the greenhouse, , ect.
  Digital Nomads are also welcome as we really need help in that area. We would like to have a website for our non-profit community. You can stay in a van or tent in/outside our greenhouse( depend more or less on which month you arrive), animals are welcome as well. Guests over night are welcome too, if you like to enjoy our food on a fireplace and a chilled talk with alternativ minds.
  Your host are Marion,45 and Alex, 38, community founder from germany who both live on the farm permanent. We speak fluent english, german, french and a bit of all latin language. You will plan your accommodation with him. Faro airport is 70km away and theres a bus shuttle, try the app omnio .Our Farm dog Apollo would like to play with your dogs or other pets. Please get safe that your animal is friendly, vascinated and flea free.
  Actually we have next to plant tasks a Project of creating a Van to a home on wheels. If you want to learn how it works or show us your DIY skills.

  You can find out if you prefer to travel all the time around or settle a bit down in a peacefull community of free people with same interests that gives u more space and comfort than pure vanlife. Learn to manage the basics of off-grid living. We like to here from your adventures and let you be part of the community story. we can grow together in practical, spiritual, green and social skills and co1nversations get deeper if you stay not only some days on a beach parking together.
  Depend on how long you stay you will be able to keep the plants in your flat alive or be able to plant your own oranic veggies until the end of your life. You will get healthy food and usefull contacts if you want to live in Portugal longer. If you are intersted in extracting plants, preparing etheric oils or essences and more you will love our historic abbey garden. Ideal for newcomers who want to do something close and have a deep view in farmlife, you can enjoy every afternoon and do what ever you want to make this adventure special for you.

  Arbeit

  Skills you should have: we think that any young person who is responsible, honest, interested in organic farming or just loves the nature has some skills that will improve our community.
  Useful skills: plant skills( or you get them here), like to DIY, good chefs are always happy to have the freshest food from the garden and we are happy to have them ;), keeping the farm in good conditions, digital nomad skills(graphic, pictures, social media marketing) our nerd is fighting alone on all fronts.
  24h work per week for accomodation and 3 meals daily.
  We take only volunters that stay min. 4 weeks or want to stay in Portugal permanent. We learned in the past that it always take some time until you get known with our plants and improve your skills ,so you can work independent. So the first 2 weeks are more education and you will do diffrent workshops to get you the basics about plants, soil, kompost and pests. And only after that our plants get the benefits of your farmstay, If you stay longer you can supervise or teach the next newcomers and show what you learned here. We are doing ecological, biodynanic agriculture -> producing organic veggies in harmony with the moon cycle.

  Unterkunft

  Accommodation:
  You can park your van/tent and connect to electricity + wifi + fill up your watertanks. car maintance possible. We can give you a tent and matress if you come just with backpack.
  Depend which month it is we have 25 to 40 degrees in the greenhouse , cold wind and rain in the off season stay outside the greenhouse and you still can move on 800m² we use for ourselves. You will like the energy of the sun and no more wet mornings . We have a kitchen , a boat toilett, washingmashine, warm water, outdoorshower, dinning area, and a small lake for everybody. Surf and bike equipment is too rent or for free avaiable.
  Food:
  We are preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner for all of us every day of the week at the farm. Veggie or full range food, if you are vegan and want spacial stuff, you have to get it your own,but we make humus, ect., fresh at the farm. We try to avoid pork or aquaculture fish. Meat is coming only from free living animals. You just need money for your personal stuff and sparetime activities. All veggies are from our garden and we pick-up fruits from the trees around us.
