Hello!
We’re Anna and Iga (Dutch and Polish) a friendly and hardworking couple with an interest in outdoor work, hands-on projects and sustainable living. We’re looking to gain practical skills and experience in self-sufficiency and farm life so in the future we can build something similar for ourselves and other people.

We like working with our hands and have some useful technical skills to offer. Iga likes to do practical work like bike repair and general maintenance. In fact, we met in a bike workshop where Iga was volunteering and fixed Anna’s bike! She’s a quick learner, especially in areas like building, repair and maintenance and would appreciate the chance to practice these skills. We’re both also interested in gardening and animal care. Iga grew up in Poland on a property with a vegetable garden and chickens, which sparked her interest in gardening and small-scale farming. Anna has worked as a gardener for the city of Groningen in the Netherlands, where she maintained hedges and city greenspaces and is interested in experiencing a different approach to gardening in a more rural setting.

Iga’s experience is in hospitality as a receptionist and in catering, but she’s looking to focus more on practical, hands-on work, such as building and repairs, that could support a self-sufficient lifestyle in the future.

We’re motivated to help out, learn new skills, and meet people who share our interests. Whether it’s gardening, animal care, maintenance or getting involved in projects that involve creativity and physical work, we’re ready to contribute and learn.

We’re adaptable, hard workers who enjoy trying new things. If you’re looking for helpers who bring energy, a willingness to learn and a positive outlook to your project, we’d be glad to work with you.

Both of us enjoy being in nature—hiking, swimming, observing wildlife and especially birdwatching and mushroom foraging.
Anna has experience with mushroom foraging and would like to learn more about other types of foraging. Iga knows a lot about birds and she used to be a part of a bird ringing camps and their community.
