I am an Ecologist, traveler, and lover of nature. Learning is my favorite thing to do and I find it extremely rewarding to see how new information fits into my understanding of the world. I have experience working at a nature conservancy and small farm and am handy with tools and DIY projects.
As an ecologist I have had the privilege of doing research on sea turtle nesting patterns, coral disease outbreaks, avian toxicology, Monarch butterfly genetics, and more. I am passionate about understanding and stewarding the social-ecological systems in which we live.
I was born and raised in Michigan, United States, but have also lived for one year in Costa Rica and four months in Turks and Caicos. I especially love the ocean and observing new ecosystems in the places I visit. My hobbies include running, surfing, free diving, hiking, camping, and any opportunity to be in nature and be active. I would love to learn to sail.
I recently went back to school and graduated from the University of Michigan with my Masters in Business and I am now enjoying a long summer before I start my new job in October.

I love to collect information. I tend to accumulate ideas, artifacts, and even relationships.

I have a great desire to learn and am constantly seeking to improve. It’s the process of learning, not just the outcome, that excites me.

I work hard and have a great deal of stamina. I take satisfaction in being productive.

I enjoy figuring out how all the pieces and resources can come together for maximum productivity.

I am skilled in outdoor activities including ecological research, animal safety and handling, gardening, landscaping, foraging, diving, fishing, and more. I also consider myself a decent artist and writer. I have a basic grasp of conversational Spanish. My Masters degree is in business so I have some business acumen. My most valuable ability is my ability to learn.
