Hi there! I'm Cessie, a 28 yr. old solo traveller from the U.K.

I am looking to escape London for a more serene and peaceful experience in nature. I am interested in France specifically because I would love to practise my French.

I am easy-going, open-minded and hard-working. I am open to helping out with almost anything, if you can provide some guidance! Particularly keen on working outside, if possible, from farm-work and animal care to working on a vineyard, helping with building projects and general maintenance.

I can also help with some language tutoring, as I have experience working in schools and as a tutor. I am also a very good cleaner but can do my best with cooking too!

Outside of the work aspect, I am happy to meet new people, practise languages and get to know the culture.

In my spare time, I would love to do some writing, as I am working on my first book. I also love reading, acting, hiking, camping, animals, yoga, chess, dancing, bonfires and enjoying the simple life.

One of the big reasons I want to be in France is to work on my French! I lived in France as a child between 4-6 yrs. old and got to a fluent level, but forgot most of it when I moved to Kenya and English has been my primary language ever since. I have studied French to A-Levels but would love to become more fluent, c'est la langue de mon coeur! I am open to doing some English language teaching if desired! I have worked in primary schools in the UK as a teaching assistant and lead some early-years language classes. I have experience as a tutor for children ages 6-16 yrs. old and I hold a CELTA qualification.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have experience in teaching, from working with small groups of children in primary schools to tutoring online, I also have a CELTA qualification. Experience specifically with English language, maths and creative writing.
I have done some volunteering in France, with refugees in Calais, and in Indonesia, with orangutans. These roles had some long hours and lots of physical labour so helped me build some resilience and good team-work. I also helped with building equipment in the jungle, but my DIY skills may need a little refreshing!
I have led yoga sessions for over a year at my university and would be happy to deliver some sessions. I am also a keen writer and would be happy to hold some beginners workshops.
I am an avid hiker and have climbed several mountains and last year hiked half of the PCT.
I had many animals growing up and adore them, I am generally good at building trusting relationships with all animals and would be keen to help out with animals in whatever way possible.
My special skill is having quite good geography knowledge, I have also been really lucky to travel to lots of places, and I have a year's experience working in travel sales, so I'd be more than happy to give some travel advice!

Was noch ...

I love to be outside! I am an avid hiker and would love to practise hiking in snowy/icy conditions. I practise yoga and would be happy to lead some sessions. I am also always keen for a good game of chess!

What I am really seeking is a peaceful, natural environment, with friendly people where I can help out and live simply. I am also a writer and would be hoping to have some time daily where I can start writing my book!
