Hello!
My name is Dylan, and I'm an Australian with a British passport, giving me full working rights in the UK. I've spent the last year and a half living on Skye, working at a hotel and also a busy bar, and travelling around the beautiful country.
Through work away Ive been fortunate enough to be able to work at a beautiful family estate on Skye, where I did a combination of housekeeping, front of house, back of house, and also helping out in the gardens. At my time there, I made connections, allowing me to start at my current workplace, an extremely busy pub. I've really enjoyed this job, as I've made plenty of lifelong friends, and have been able to slot myself in to the community. I have also done a brief stint on the Isle of Rum, doing general maintenance and path clearing in the off season.
My goal for 2025 is to stay settled somewhere for the year and slot myself in to the area
I am happy to get my hands dirty and will try my hand at any task given to me. I'm also a barber by trade, so that might be a bonus to some. Im looking forward to hearing from the lovely people from this site, and hopefully I'll get to meet some of you too.
