Hello there! My name is Erika but first, I hope you're doing well:)

I have just finished my studies in France and I am taking this year off to travel. I've stayed 3 months in Germany at the beginning of the year, trying to improve my German, going to different communities and on a farm.
I have been using workaway pretty much every summer since 5 years now. I have had the opportunity to work on different farms, participate in some construction work, share and teach a bit of my language, volunteer in a democratic school, stay in communities, and most of all meet people and share good times. These past summers I have also done quite a lot of hiking and trekking to the point where I felt home with my backpack on my back !

The past years I have studied law and philosophy in Paris; and more precisely environmental law this past year. I just passed the bar but I want to take some more time to explore my interests for other things, discover other lifestyles, see different parts of France and Europe.

I love being outdoor (camping, running, gardening, hiking, biking, yoga) and I like feeling useful and helping others. I am ok with working hard as long as I feel useful and what I do serve a clear purpose. I care about the impact my actions can have on our planet and I am always interested in learning about sustainable ways of life. Being open minded and communicating are also very important to me, especially when we live and work together. I like sincere discussions:)
I can be a bit shy at the beginning but eventually my goofy side will come out !
Sewing, cooking, playing cards, yoga, reading, playing with watercolors, learning about alternative education, and dancing are other things I enjoy.

I had the opportunity to travel to several places in the past, both alone and with friends or family, and I am fluent in english. I know a bit of spanish and I am a beginner in german but I really want to improve it.

I can cook, do outdoor work/gardening, take care of children, sew, drive, teach french/english...
