My dream job when I was a child was to be an explorer and 15 years later this dream remains the same. I'm looking to explore the world by getting to know the micro worlds within it - slowing down and getting to know how people lived in a new part of the world rather than rushing through new places.

I have just graduated from a natural sciences degree (Zoology, psychology, biochemistry, history and philosophy of science) in Cambridge and excited to finally be switching the libraries for the great outdoors and reading for something more hands on. I am a fun, hard working and open minded individual. I don't need to follow a strict routine and prefer to go with the flow a bit. I enjoy doing practical things, such as building, painting, making things and am not afraid of being exhausted or pushed out my comfort zone if the task is enjoyable. I also love animals, hence the zoology degree. I can speak conversational French and am learning mandarin. I worked as an au pair in France for a month, as a teacher in China for two months and have done three work aways involving carpentry, metal work, heavy lifting and spatial design.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Carpentry: comfortable with powertools including past use with circular saws, jig saws, drills as well as experience with dimensioning.
Gardening: experience of gardening from a previous workaway
Creative: Enjoy fine art but also love more expressive forms of creativity.
Animals: huge animal lover and have owned chickens, bees, parrots, tarantulas etc and cats with experience handling further animals (plus a degree in zoology).
Experience teaching: I taught science and English in China for a summer as well as other experience in tutoring.
