We're based in Japan now and will be here for a couple more years. We're especially interested in tourism and hospitality related activities, art activities, and language exchange.

Beschreibung

Hello, we're a Chinese couple living in Tokyo. Lingge (the wife) works as an independent art tutor after graduating from film school; Jet (the husband) used to be a data analyst whose true interests lie in anthropology. After getting our education in London and building our career in Shanghai, we finally chose Japan as our destination for life.

We have great interests in meeting people. However, after moving to Japan we found ourselves buried in chores and other tedious affairs related to starting a new life in a foreign country, chances are less that we can meet people who have more experience in living in Japan.

The exciting news is A) we're going to open our own guesthouse in Izu this year, and B) Lingge finally decided to start scriptwriting again seriously. Thus, with the aim of immersing ourselves in diverse cultures and seeking compelling narratives, we registered on this platform. We aspire to commence our journey as a workawayer, to gain a deeper understanding of various lifestyles.

Lingge has obtained TESOL teaching certificate and can teach English speaking and essay writing. Jet obtained MA degree in the UK and can teach English speaking (business presentation level) and writing (business level); he is also knowledgable in Mandarin Chinese arts and pop culture based on previous research background, and is open to become a language buddy of Chinese.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Jet worked as a consultant in social media, especially in the tourism and lifestyle sector, and helped businesses in China with their social media strategies and digitalization. He strongly believes that tourism in modern days is a media & attention economy, and will soon practice the combination of hospitality and media creation in their own guesthouse. As a top-tier analyst in the industry, he knows how to best attract Chinese-speaking tourists to your lovely place.

Lingge has a film-related background. She is an expert in world cinema and has the skills of scriptwriting, photography, self-shooting, and editing. Her career started as a personal tutor who provides guidance to students' film portfolios, so she is well-versed in the field of education, possessing the capability to teach courses related to film as well as English (TESOL teaching certification obtained).

The couple had the experience of co-producing short films in the past, and had won some independent film awards. They are capable of working as a mini film crew.
