Beschreibung
I'm a very calm, easy-going person, who loves nature, animals, holistic and art therapies, all kinds of art, yoga and alikes. I'd love to find workaway opportunities that resonate with all that.

I don't have specific skills or technique knowledge, but am very open and willing to learn and contribute whatever way I can and have always been able too. I'm very good, though, at keeping spaces nice, clean, and organized, very good with kids and pets, easy to get along with and whenever there's space for art, creativity and holistic events, I'll be in my element!

By the way, I'm vegetarian (vegan whenever possible) and don't smoke.

Was könntest du arbeiten?
I have experience and am good at house and petsitting. I had pets (dogs and cats) back home, for many years, and have been volunteering in England and in Spain as a house and petsitter for the last 10 months. I've also assisted people with babysitting, which is another thing I did a lot at home and as an Aupair (in the past, during my first stay in England).

I only know basic cooking, but am eager to learn it properly,

Vom Workawayer () für Host (Permaculture, countryside, ...)

My experience at Villamiroglio with Sara and Pierpaolo was very special. I felt drawn to their place because of all the holistic activities they mentioned in their profile. And, although they were not holding holistic events during my stay there, they were always open to share their knowledge and experience with us and I can't even put into words… read more how important and life-changing what they shared with me was for me. It was a beautiful example of how, even when things don't come up the exact way we'd imagined them, if we are following our hearts, they will always be exactly what we need. That's what I found at Sara and Pierpaolo's place.

In terms of daily routine there, we work 5 hours a day, usually 4 hours in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon. But that was flexible according to the daily demands and to everyone's real needs - and they were always very careful with and respectful of that.

I was there at the end of the winter and helped them with gardening, pruning, storage of wood for fire, simple household chores and small crafts of carpentry (which I enjoyed a lot). Every job was simple and well explained. Even the gardening. I had never done any gardening before, but it was all simple things, easy to learn and do and I had a very special time working with the plants there. Also, whenever a job was too much for a volunteer, they would spot it straight away and adapt, so that everyone was safe and the work was healthy for all.

Pierpaolo cooks lunch and dinner most of the time, rare exceptions, and they are exquisite every time :)! Whoever wants to have meal, joins him around 30/45 min earlier to help prepare it and stays to help clean up. It's a really nice time for cultural exchange.

So, all in all, in terms of daily routine, it was a fair and enriching exchange of work and culture.

Oh, and I can't forget to mention how wonderful it was to snuggle with their amazing cat, Yuki, and pour their kind dog Jack with love. Also Sara's kids (teens) are sweet and beautiful souls, I enjoyed our time with them!

My stay there was, in a deeper level, a total and much needed gift from the Universe and I am forever grateful to Sara, Pierpaolo, the pets, the kids, the Nature there and the Divine for this opportunity - which, by the way, was granted me last minute, when I was running out of time to find a new place and really needed it!
