Hi! I'm Linus, a 19 year old outdoors and culture enthusiast from Germany that's particularly interested in hiking, mountainbiking and skiing.
What I find important is a healthy and active lifestyle, as well as being open-minded in general. I like trying new cuisines, exploring nature, meeting different people and learning new skills.
I've just graduated highschool and decided to travel to New Zealand with a Working-Holiday Visa, since I'm fascinated by the countries landscape and culture. What I'm particularly interested in is everyday kiwi-life, kiwi-culture, New Zealands kitchen and what its nature has to offer.

Was könntest du arbeiten?
Besides my career in school, I've been working in holidays and on weekends since I was 14 years old. I've spent all winter seasons of these 4 years working as a ski instructor in my local ski resort from December until March, teaching kids, ranging from as young as 5 years old to 16 years old, skiing over the span of multiple days. This really fullfills me since i love working with kids, teaching them not only how to ski but also how to have a lot fun while learning new skills, like making new friends or being proud of oneself for pulling something off you didn't expect to actually be able to do.
The enjoyment i get out of seeing that kids actually had fun trying to learn skiing and are proud of themselves after completing the course makes working with them all the much better for me.
Other than that, I've been active as a helping hand in multiple restaurants in my hometown, helping in the kitchen, working at the counter as a bartender and even serving drinks and food as a waiter, which i also really enjoyed since you meet a lot of interesting people.
To save up money for my trip to New Zealand, I've also worked as an Administrator at my dads IT Company for 5 months, which works with schools and provides things like Tablets, Laptops and Digital blackboards. In these 4 months i visited schools to help them with setting up their new devices, fixing internet issues and building a school network, which meant i had to interact a lot with authoritarian figures like teachers and even mayors. Sometimes i also had to teach kids how to properly use their new devices, which again really fulfilled me for the exact same reasons as stated above.
Last but not least I have also worked at a beverage market managing the storage, which only lasted one summer though.

Was noch ...
Really appreciate solving crosswords together, watching professional rugby, football and skiing live and on tv every now and then. Particularly like going skiing, as well as hiking and biking in the mountains, especially in the mornings to see the sun rise :) Also great to have for everything that has to do with water.
