👨‍⚕️About me and languages:
My name is Mousa. I am a 24-year-old, 5th-year medical student based in Hungary. I’m half-Hungarian and half-Egyptian, but I’ve been living in Hungary all my life. In 2020, I decided to take a gap year in the middle of my academic studies to stop for a while and recharge my batteries. I simply wanted to do something totally different from medicine.
Since I’m fond of languages, improving my French was my first idea. After months of studying, I did a language exam (DALF), which was the main aim of that year.
I’m a strong believer that the process of language learning is supposed to be fun, and the ability to communicate with people in their native language opens new doors and gives you different lenses through which you see the world. I’ve just started learning Italian.

🌍About my trips with Workaway:
In the summer of 2021 and 2022, I visited some of the great regions of France with Workaway (Région Parisienne, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Pays de la Loire, Bretagne). I can honestly say that these two journeys reshaped my life. I met truly helpful people, I could practice French, and I really enjoyed the breathtaking places I saw.
As a workawayer I wish to meet great people and help them as much as I can with their projects. I readily give a helping hand in their daily tasks and in this way, I hope to get an insight into other traditions, cultures, and lives.

🏃‍♂️About sport and drawing:
Sport is a crucial part of my life. I have been running for more than 5 years now on a regular basis. It's become a kind of addiction over the years. Sometimes it’s terrifying how deeply it integrated into my routine. In April 2023 I ran the Paris Marathon.
My other passion is drawing. I make mostly portraits and abstract drawings with black pens. I have been lucky to have the opportunity to show some of my works in local exhibitions.


🌱About the future:
As far as my plans and visions for the future, I am planning to specialize in pediatric surgery after finishing 6 years of general training. I realized that curing children and making their lives better and healthy again could give me immense joy. I don’t want to be that type of doctor who considers this field as a job. I really don’t think that this would be the case, it’s more like a vocation.

À propos de moi et des langues:
Je m'appelle Mousa. J’ai 24 ans. J’habite en Hongrie. Je suis étudiant en médecine en 5ème année. Je suis d’origine hongroise et égyptienne, mais j'ai vécu en Hongrie depuis toujours. En 2020, j'ai décidé de prendre une année sabbatique au milieu de mes études universitaires pour m'arrêter pendant un moment et recharger les batteries. Je voulais simplement faire quelque chose de totalement différent que la médecine. Comme j'aime bien les langues, améliorer mon français a été ma première idée. Après des mois d’apprentissage, j'ai passé un examen de langue (DALF), qui était l'objectif principal de cette année-là.
Je suis fermement convaincu que le processus d'apprentissage des langues est censé être amusant, et la capacité de communiquer avec les gens dans leur langue maternelle ouvre de nouvelles portes et nous donne différentes perspectives à travers lesquelles on voit le monde. Je viens de commencer à apprendre l'italien.

À propos de mes voyages avec Workaway:
En été 2021 et 2022, j'ai visité quelques régions de la France avec Workaway (Région Parisienne, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Pays de la Loire, Bretagne). Je peux franchement dire que ces deux voyages ont tellement marqué ma vie. J'ai rencontré des gens vraiment aimables, j'ai pu pratiquer le français et j'ai vraiment apprécié les endroits magnifiques que j'ai vus.
En tant que workawayer je souhaite rencontrer les gens magnifiques des autres pays et leur aider pour leurs projets. Je donne avec plaisir un coup de main pour leurs tâches quotidiennes et de cette manière j’espère de recevoir un aperçu d’autres traditions, cultures et vies.

À propos du sport et du dessin:
Le sport est une partie essentielle de ma vie. Cela fait maintenant plus de 5 ans que je cours presque tous les jours. C'est devenu une sorte de dépendance au fil des annnés. Parfois, c'est terrifiant à quel point cela s'est intégré à ma routine. En avril 2023 j'ai couru le Marathon de Paris.
Mon autre passion est le dessin. Je fais surtout des portraits et des dessins abstraits avec des stylos noirs. J'ai eu la chance d'avoir l'opportunité de montrer certaines de mes œuvres dans des expositions locales.

À propos de l'avenir:
En ce qui concerne mes projets et mes visions d'avenir, j'envisage de me spécialiser en chirurgie pédiatrique après avoir terminé les 6 années de la formation générale. Je me suis rendu compte que guérir des enfants et rendre leur vie meilleure et saine pouvait me faire très content. Je ne veux pas devenir le type de médecin qui considère ce domaine comme un travail. Je ne pense vraiment pas que ce serait le cas, c'est plus comme une vocation.
