Beschreibung

Hello! We are Olivia and Ross, a couple from the UK currently living in Australia and hoping to continue our travels in New Zealand.

I worked as an Ecologist in the UK and have a particular passion for nature and habitat restoration, and have also done work in retail, hospitality, office administration and can turn my hand to most things. Ross worked as a Groundsworker in construction and has skills in concreting, drainage and general building. We love to keep busy and are always ready for the next task!

We also love exploring new places and getting outdoors, and as a couple our hobbies include birdwatching, gardening, rugby, running, crochet and baking.

After working and house sitting in Australia, we are hoping to now begin a new chapter travelling throughout New Zealand. We’d love to help out during our travelling and experience some different cultures, ways of life and make connections.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Ross has worked as a ground worker doing pipelaying, footings, concreting, block paving, flagging, drainage and has general construction skills. He is happy to give anything a go with a bit of guidance if not done before.

Olivia has worked as an Ecologist undertaking protected species surveys and is happy working outside doing a variety of tasks including gardening and repairs/maintenance. Olivia has also worked in retail, hospitality and office administration and has a broad skill set including baking, sewing, crochet and other handy jobs.

Between us we love to get stuck into a new task and have done general home DIY and improvements, including small house renovation projects such as tiling, grouting, replacing bathroom suite, laying laminate flooring, restoring Victorian pine flooring (sanding, oil staining), creating board and batten wall alongside general maintenance and repair.

Was noch ...

We have undertaken house sitting for cats and dogs whilst in Australia and Olivia has previously had horses so happy to help with animal care.

We are family orientated and can get stuck in with house duties and potentially child care.

We have a UK driving licence which we can use in NZ, and hope to get our NZ licences when we arrive in the country and are settled.
