HI! My name is Sofia, and I am a 28-year-old from The Netherlands. So, why Workaway? I love meeting new people and immersing myself in different cultures!

I believe that every new person I meet and every new culture I experience brings a unique perspective that enriches my life. I am excited to exchange stories and learn new skills.

In addition to my love for travel and cultural exchange, I enjoy cooking, gardening, painting, reading and horse riding. I'm also very eager to learn new things, like building, renovating and growing vegetables. I am a hardworking, adaptable, and friendly person, always eager to lend a hand and try to make a positive impact wherever I go.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have a mix of skills and experiences that I'm excited to bring to any Workaway project. I speak and write fluent English. I did study Spanish a while ago (like a really long time ago), and I'm a bit rusty, but very keen to practice and improve.

I grew up with farm animals (like sheep, horses and cows) and have some basic gardening skills, so I'm comfortable with outdoor and animal care tasks. I have an academic background in cultural heritage and did a study in social services. With the latter diploma I worked for six years as a social worker in a organization that provides helpt to people with a form of dementia.

I'm a social person and find it easy to make new friends. I'm also pretty resourceful and believe there are always multiple ways to solve a problem, but my main qualities are my enthusiasm and friendly nature, which help me approach every task with a positive attitude.

At the moment I'm on a road trip through, travel towards Eastern Europe.
