Hello! My name is Xin Yue, but you can call me Better. I’m a recent university graduate from China, currently participating in a project in Alaska to experience cultural life. After this project, I am eager to explore more cities and cultures to enrich my future possibilities.
I have a friendly personality and enjoy making friends, singing, dancing, and photography. Traveling to experience local customs and traditions is a passion of mine—I’ve explored much of China and am excited to discover new places. I also love sports, including skiing, badminton, taekwondo, and yoga, which keep me active and energetic. Cooking and baking are other passions of mine; I enjoy preparing various Chinese dishes such as sweet and sour ribs, dumplings, and tomato beef stew.
Through Workaway, I hope to learn about different cultures, experience diverse lifestyles, and connect with people. I look forward to living with you, sharing meals and stories, and learning each other’s languages. I speak Chinese and English and am eager to learn more Spanish and French. Can’t wait to meet you!

I am fluent in both English and Chinese. I am also eager to learn new languages and am currently interested in learning Spanish and French. I plan to travel to Spanish- and French-speaking countries in the future to practice and immerse myself in these languages, and to connect more deeply with the local cultures.

1. Household Management: I am organized and meticulous, with a preference for cleanliness and order. I can handle tasks such as cleaning rooms, taking care of pets, and engaging with children in play and learning activities.
2. Cooking and Baking: I excel in preparing Chinese dishes, including dumplings, noodles, rice, and various home-style stir-fries. Additionally, I am capable of making some Western and Mexican dishes.
3. Sports: I enjoy skiing, taekwondo, badminton, yoga, and dancing, which keeps me active and energized.
4. Music: I have a passion for pop and rock music and can play the guitar.
5. Gardening: Having learned from my grandparents, I have experience in growing various crops and vegetables. I can manage a vegetable garden or farm.
6. Languages: Chinese is my native language, and I am proficient in English for everyday communication. I am eager to learn Spanish and French.
7. Planning and organizing cultural events, as well as handling photography and documentation for those events.
