Hello!
We are May & Ziv, web developers and engineers but above all permaculture enthusiasts!

We are in our mid thirties, and currently work as a web developers in Israel. May and I have volunteered in many places, including organic farms in Japan (WWOOF) and a mango farm in Israel. We are deeply passionate about growing food and producing energy locally. We always maintain a productive garden for our own consumption, growing papayas, bananas, avocados, berries, and many kinds of vegetables and herbs. Additionally, we enjoy preserving and fermenting food, as well as foraging for herbs and mushrooms.

During 2021, we lived in Finland, where we had a wonderful time foraging for mushrooms and berries while enjoying the beauty of nature. We dream of starting a homestead and living more sustainably, preferably in a like-minded community. We plan to move to rural Europe in the coming years and are eager to connect with new places and people.

We speak fluent English and Hebrew, Ziv some Portuguese and May some French.
Ziv lived in Austria for three years back in 2009, primarily in Vienna but also on an organic farm near Salzburg, so he would love to refresh his rusty German with some help.

We have various skills, but we particularly enjoy working in the garden, growing food, doing forest work, cooking, natural building, and working with animals. Ziv is proficient with most common woodworking tools and have good technical skills.

May is also an Iyengar Yoga teacher and we both practice Yoga several days per week.

*We consider ourselves good cooks (mainly vegan food, Israeli, Indian, Mexican)

*Ziv completed a permaculture design course and is a mechanical engineer
*May has a masters in Biology and has taught in English
*We are tidy and organized
*We like picking fruit and we know basic mushroom foraging
*We wwoofed in Japan in 2 organic farms

We are very interested in self sufficiency and local food growing and processing methods like fermentation.

May plays the guitar and sings. Ziv only sings when he drinks :)
