Hi there!
My name is Clara (People call me this name since I started my English class in Secondary school). I came from Hong Kong and I'm having my three months holiday traveling and visiting friends and families in UK and Europe. (I haven't been traveling for ages, that's why!😅)
About a week ago I started to use my Eurailpass, the kind of global flexi with 4 travel days, to visit my friends in France and Germany. Earlier I wanted to be a volunteer in a retreat centre in Darmstadt but then to know that they're full already, then suddenly I came to know about Workawayer and here I am.

Back in Hong Kong I'm quite involved with our community. With the Hope of serving and bringing positive change to our community, I ran for a district council election in 2015, what a great learning experience! 😃 And opened my eye to my loving and talented community! 😍🤩Eventually I was invited to join the team of this Legislative Council member...to put it short, I have been an active member of our community, I joined this Farming experience course 2018 and learned more about permaculture and helping my friend's organic farm occasionally since then in our local community. Also I joined a greenwood workshop in 2022 which gave me the opportunity to try and enjoy some woodworking. I'm confident to help out in the hosts' garden or farm and household.
I enjoy cooking at home as I think it would be healthier. I learned making dumplings through YouTube some years ago and I have made them for and with friends many times, the wrapping of dumpling of different styles can be fun.😃

In my little local community, I did oral history, ran a waste free station, cultural and cycling tour...before that I studied in theological seminary....we can share so much more! 😃😊👍

actually I took classes and learned Japanese, Deutsch, Hebrew. Learnt a few words in French... I think we can communicate so much more efficiently if we can overcome this language barrier. So I'm open to learn different languages. Of course it takes time and hard work to be good at it.

As I did a farming experience course and helped out my friends' organic farms, also a greenwood workshop course, I can help out in the farm or garden and help out with some diy projects too.

I love animals. Used to have dogs, cat, birds, fish at home. Now only fish.
Been to Civil scientist camp for reserching for insects.

I love children. I used to help out with the youth group in church. Helped my aunt, sister in law to take care of their children.
Had experience being a nanny for my friend.

I can cook, make dumplings as well.
I can clean, help out with the household

language: Cantonese, English, Manderin
once learnt Japanese, Hebrew
can still sing a couple Hebrew songs.

Music: Choir member for years, love singing.
used to play er-hu, a Chinese string instrument with two strings only, need to have good ears for the accurate pitch.

Traveling experience: this is my second time of using Eurail pass to travel Europe. This time is one month 4 travel days, last time was two months with 14 travel days, years ago though!😅
Been to cycling teams in rural areas in China as a helping leader because I was a translator as well.
Been to US, Canada, Australia, China, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea

I love cycling. At home my bike is my legs!
During Summer, I swim in the beach nearby.
I go hiking often with friends as well as we have beautiful trails nearby at home. Bty, I live in a rural area of Hong Kong. An outlying island called Lantau Island. It takes 35min ferry to go to the city hub though, so really not that far.
