Beschreibung

Hello! We are Michael and Kate. We've got 2 one-way tickets, a couple of bicycles, and we're jazzed to see the world. We are coming from St. Paul, Minnesota, USA. We are both 27 yrs old and have been together for the past 3 years. We are well traveled within North America and are excited to take our romp across the pond. Our plan is to bikepack and workaway in the UK, before heading to central Europe.

Life has been moving fast, we are really grateful for this chance to slow down. We have future goals to homestead and hopefully become a workaway host ourselves someday. During this trip we are looking forward to learning other ways of living and taking that inspiration home. We spend a lot of time outside and are sustainability minded- we would love to end up at a workaway that has similar values. Looking forward to connecting and learning more about each other!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Kate's info: I'm a nanny and have been a child-care professional for the past 4 years, with a lot of experience in a Montessori setting. I love working with kids and would be so glad to help care for yours! I have formal education in communication studies as well as sustainable justice. I am a great vegetarian chef. Being in the kitchen brings me a lot of joy and I have had experience through a past workaway cooking for a crowd. Michael and I have been dabbling in gardening the past few seasons and that is something I would love to learn more about. From planting to preserving! I also have basic skills in carpentry. I am energetic and eager to learn. I pick up things quickly, especially with hands-on learning. Teach me anything!

Michael's info: I am a bicycle mechanic and have been in the bicycle industry for the last 8 years fixing up bikes both old and new. I would be happy to put those skills to use if you have a project! I have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. I have been getting into chess in the last couple years and would love to play. I am also a drummer in a band here in Minnesota and love playing music with other people! I enjoy learning new skills and like Kate, I have a little experience with carpentry and gardening. I like to forage for plants and mushrooms here and would love to learn about the local flora where you live! I am a fast learner and always happy to help. I am looking forward to experiencing new cultures and meeting new people!
