hey :)
My name is Livia, I am 20 years old and I'm from Austria. Currently I'm living in Vienna and study forestry. In between semesters I'm still eager to travel and use workaway to connect with the local culture,nature and people.
I took a Gap Year 2023 after school and I am still eager to make many new experiences with nice people in other countries. I spent time in France, Thailand and I lived in New Zealand for 6 months.
I love being surrounded by nature - whether this is the beach, the mountains, or anything in between. Hiking, skiing, surfing, beachvolleyball or climbing are, amongst others, things that make my heart race.
I’m a very caring person, I like people and I always want to help in any way I can! I like being and working with people, especially kids. I also like working in the garden and being in contact with nature. The last summer I’ve done two volunteer projects in France, one where I worked in the forest as a team with many other international volunteer. The project was creating a small festival, where I learned a lot of technical skills, but also a lot of social skills, since we worked with many people and had to communicate a lot, wich was nice. During the festival we also worked with kids and also behind the bar.
I’m also in love with literature and languages- I can speak German, English, French and Spanish and I'm always trying to learn new ones-, consequently I like traveling and connecting with different cultures, ideas and people.
Creativity is also a big part of my life, which brings me much joy. In my free time I really love to be creative, start my own DIY projects and meet up with my friends. While travelling, I love to capture unique moments with my (analog) camera. I'm also really interested in doing Yoga and meditation and I would love to get even more into this topic.
Another thing about me is that I love food, both cooking and eating. I’m vegetarian, because of my love for animals and for environmental reasons.
I like to slow travel, to have the possibility to get to know one place and getting into the position of a traveler rather than a tourist.
Beyond all, I love to get in touch with people from all over the world with different mindsets - that’s why I am eager to travel around and get to know new perspectives of life. I look forward to all the adventures, life-lessons, and impact that the projects of Work Away will bring!

Was könntest du arbeiten?
As I said before, I am a big fan of languages in general, but also of learning and teaching languages. I can speak German, English, French and Spanish. I'm always willing to learn new languages and cultures or to share some of what I know.
I love to cook and try out new recipes, I could also show you some of my favourite recipes from home.
I have some experience with working outdoors and in the garden, as I also did a volunteer project in the forest last year. This year I volunteered at a small local music and art festival in France with 12 other volunteers from all over the world, where we builded everything up(tents, stages,...) and worked directly at the festival with the visitors and the children.
I’ve done many creative projects in my free time, like pottery, embroidery, painting,… that’s why I am especially excited for creative projects of any kind .
I love working with babies/children/teenagers, and I also have much experience with babysitting and tutoring.
As a whole I'm a very adaptive person and open to learning anything with a smile:)))
