I'm currently traveling thru Italy & hope to visit different parts of the country & then maybe Spain, Portugal, Greece, Turkey. I'ld love to do work exchange for lodging (gardening, house, children).
Beschreibung
I left my home country 50 years ago, in 1974, when I wasn't quite 19. In 2 months, I will retire, my two sons are now on their own, so with that, it is time for me to go visit in person new worlds, people, cultures and lands. I am a loving human being. I speak Arabic, French, English. I get by in Spanish. I used to know Italian but forgot most of it. I know a few words of German (studied it for 2 years), and started studying Portugues during COVID. Might continue. I love music from around the world, especially nueva cancion, salsa, corridos, African, including classical and jazz and, strangely, country music too, I recently discovered. I did get a BA in music many years ago. I like to work and help others. I love children and their laugher, and I love animals. I would like to become comfortable around horses and maybe learn to ride them too one day, but at least learn to care for them and communicate with them. I care about peace and social, economic, racial and environmental justice. I prefer being in nature than in cities, and in open spaces rather than in crowded, tight spaces. My friends come from all over the world, and, who knows, I might accomplish a trip around the world volunteering my way around for the however many years that I still can be of service. I tend to write (intermitently). I tend to be fearless but that might be put to the test, will see how far I am willing to take myself on adventures to meet people around the world. Finally, I love to see people's kindness and generosity, the twinkle in their eyes.

I like to play backgammon and pingpong, go for hikes.
I love to listen to people's life stories and to books on tapes.
I am interested in spirituality, philosophy, mental health, and political ideas especially around how to make this a kinder and healthier world. I might want to try learning how to play the ukulele again. I used to play the recorder and the clarinet but stopped many years ago. Oh, and I love photography but know nothing about cameras.
