Beschreibung

Hey :) I’m Paula. Since graduating from high school in Germany in 2023 I used my gap year to travel solo a lot and work in my hometown in between. I’m excited to travel around the world and to get to know amazing new people. My friends would describe me as an caring, open-minded, calm and independent person.
I love to spend time with the people I love and get to know new people, because as we know: Strangers are just friends we haven’t met yet ;) I think it’s so interesting and wonderful to get to know new cultures, personalities, life stories and daily routines by talking to others and spending time with them. That’s also a big part of why I enjoy travelling and life in general so much! My favorite activities with my family and friends are picnics, talking for hours, playing board games, spending time in nature together...

In my spare time I love to get creative, whether it’s sewing, drawing, making collages, cooking/baking, scrapbooking… I also love to write and journal daily to reflect my experiences and emotions . In winter I do figure skating and in summer I like to inline skate, swim and go for walks.
Additionally, I noticed that meditating helps me a lot to live more in the moment and to be grateful for the things I have in my life.
For me it's really important to engage in environmental protections, so that we and next generations will be able to experience this planet with all its diversity and beauty!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

In general I’m easily excited and I’m a quick learner when it comes to new topics and activities. When I’m really interested and invested in something I’m quite ambitious and proactive

I’ve done a short internship in a kindergarten and gained some experience. There I noticed even more how much joy it brings me to spend time with kids, play with them, listen to their interesting and unique kind of thinking and to support and help them. At my current job at ikea customer service I also work at the Smaland, a supervised playing facility where parents drop of there child for the lenght of their shopping. There I also learned to deal with challenging situations like fights or kids that miss their parents
Also a family, that we’re friends with, has 5 kids between the ages of 3 and 13. I like to spend time with them (to go with them to the playground, to build a snowman . I'm excited to learn more about childcare and gain more experience!

At home I learned to clean, to wash clothes and dishes, to iron, to make beds, and to cook by helping my mom. Even though I haven’t got any professional experience in housework, I’m sure I can master it well due to my experience at home.

With gardening and farming I have less experience, but I'd love to learn more about it!
