Hi! I'm Fumi and a grad school student in Boston. I'm from Japan and want to expose myself into the different culture and enjoy the vibes in the United States. I hope I could meet with a lot of people with different backgrounds and have a chance of language exchanges.

After working in Tokyo for two and a half years, I am currently living in Boston temporarily as a graduate student.

I taught various subjects as a cram school teacher for four years, mainly geography and history.

Mark and Rona were the first people I did Workaway with. Even though I had no gardening experience, they were very patient and easy to understand, which allowed me to work with confidence. Fumi was a pleasure to host. He is very respectful, polite, and helpful. We had interesting cultural exchange about Japanese culture and norms, as well as about international relations. Although he is a city boy, he did his best helping with outdoor tasks. We recommend Fumi as a volunteer.

Vom Workawayer () für Host (Come help at our co-operative ...)

Although I only stayed for a week, which was relatively short, Gene always took care of me and took me to places I wanted to visit. I still remember the morning swim in the ocean lol

Fumi is a wonderful workawayer. He did a great job with the everyday tasks such as sweeping, cleaning, and organizing. He is always looking for ways to help and jumps in when there is work to be done like washing dishes. He is an interesting guy and is fun to talk with.
