Beschreibung

Hi! My name is Tomas, and I'm a 24-year-old from Houston, Texas.
I'm passionate about being active, discovering new things, and immersing myself in different cultures. I exercise daily and love to cook. I'm open-minded, honest, and get along well with everyone. I especially love music and going to see live shows. Additionally, I'm pretty tidy and clean. My mother taught me well :)

I have a finance degree from the University of Houston and have 4 years of experience in marketing for music festivals, with 2 of those years spent as a market lead, managing a team and creating live events.

During my university summers, I worked as an outdoor guide in various states. I've been a kayak guide in Wisconsin and a white-water rafting and rock climbing guide in Colorado. I have also taught a high school class for rock climbing and lead classes at the rock gym for children with disabilities.
For the past 6 years, I've also worked intermittently as an art handler in museums and galleries across Texas, gaining extensive knowledge about fine art installations.

Although I've never used Workaway, I have experience as a WWOOF’er in Italy, where I spent a month working on a vineyard/organic farm. It was an incredible experience, and I became close friends with the farm owners, whom I still regularly chat with. I'd be happy to provide their information for a reference.

I think this platform is a great way to find unique experiences and meet outstanding people from different places. Any place I choose to stay is because I want to emerge myself in the project, family, and community of the area. I love connecting with people and sharing the deeper parts of ourselves and learning how to live healthier, happier lives for ourselves and our communities.

My other goal while using workaway is to better my skills at marketing/SEO and social media content creation. I am in the process of starting my own Outfitter/tourism business in Austin, Tx. and I would love to learn marketing skills from others.

Some of my favorite hobbies include rock climbing, running, kayaking, camping, and practicing Muay Thai & Jiu-Jitsu. However, I love trying new things and I am down to do almost anything!
