Conlan has been great around our home: very observant and adaptable to help where work was needed. His core skills are with the mcleod and the pickaxe: whether it's clearing blackberries, bushes or logs to even breaking rocks and concrete, he's strong and efficient with this work. He was willing to venture into working with lumber and built an
… read more excellent goose-pen, and his signature project was constructing a large fenced area (and even building the fence panels from scratch). He became outstanding with his care of the animals - poultry, pigeons and other farm animals and especially our dogs. His curiosity and willingness to learn made him a great workawayer we would be happy to have back in the future.

Roku (Ronja) has workawayed at my place over the fall and involved in outdoor projects such as construction of fence panels, shelves, daily animal care, and other homestead duties. Roku was comfortably using tools such as circular saws, blowers, trimmers, nail guns, and chainsaws. Indoor help around the house -- furniture building projects, food
… read more preparation and clean-up. Roku also helped with vegetable and grain pick-ups, which required lifting and moving heavy bags & boxes.
Roku is hard-working, adaptable and conscientious. The quality of the work was of high-quality & precision. Roku is sensitive to the needs of the home, making herself useful wherever the need arose. This was a big plus because little time was lost on coordination and supervision. Roku became vital to our home and we would be happy to have her back anytime.
Roku is a gem you don't want to miss.

I stayed with Lev, Aman, Mili and Forrest for almost 4 months and I enjoyed it to the fullest. I worked 4-5 hours a day for 5 days of the week and the hours where quite flexible. Most of my work was taking care of the animals and projects in the yard or around the coops. During my time off I was able to go exploring or join Lev, Mili and Forrest
… read more for a walk through a random nearby park. I also met their lovely families and made some awesome memories along the way. Lev could be a great tourguide, as he knows the area very well and can show you around a lot of parks. I had a great time staying at Lev and Aman's place and I feel like I became part of their family. You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Left by host for Workawayer (Til)
Til was my first workawayer, staying for a little over two weeks. I did not know what to expect but Til certainly set a very high standard. He breathed new life into our home by completing several projects in his short time. He cleared thick and prickly blackberries to build a garden, complete with an irrigation system, he constructed an

He's incredibly hard working, conscientious and a thorough person. In the evenings I enjoyed learning about his travels and conversing about topics ranging from making creme brule to the philosophical questions of our time. Til is a bright, perceptive and resourceful individual who I would welcome back either as a workawayer or a guest.

I only spent 2,5 weeks at Lev’s place in Langley and it was way too short! The area is beautiful and Lev is always up for a little roadtrip and shows his surroundings. The property is really big, as well as the house, so there is always stuff to do around! The pigeons, chicken and feasants are. ery interesting and fun, as well as the dog "Forest".
… read more I really enjoyed every day there and hope to see not only Lev, but also his family again some day! With Lev as a host you can’t go wrong and you will certainly have an amazing stay! Thank you so much again and good luck with everything! You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.
