  I am a 57 year old retired mother whose 3 children have all started their own families. I live alone in a beautiful area of Salt Spring Island with a lot of beautiful gardens and a great ocean view.

  I was born in Eastern Europe and have lived in Canada most of my adult life. I am busy with our island community often volunteering at local events. I enjoy being with people from anywhere around the world and to share my life experience with younger people. I also like to learn what the younger people of the world are hoping for in their future. I hope to offer some insight from my time on two continents.

  Help

  I need help working in the garden, cleaning the area from winter fall, helping create new gardens, mixing and moving soils, working on paths, etc. Most of the work will be outside.

  I have over 3 bedrooms available and depending on my other guests here I will provide comfortable, clean and quiet accomdations

  Any helpers with energy and some experience in construction, farming, gardening, cooking, and general cleaning would be the ideal helper for me at this time. If so, maybe you would like to join me on Salt Spring Island. This island is easy to travel to as we have 3 ferries providing us regular services. All tourists find their experience on this very interesting island to be worth the travel and I live near the center of this island.
  
  I also have a variety of small construction projects underway and a lot of yard maintenance on 4 acre of gardens. As expected, each season brings on different type of work and it seems that results in some extra tasks. If you are easy-going and able to help efficiently in a somewhat fast-paced environment, I would be pleased to speak to you about how you can get the best experience possible here.
  
  Please don't ask to stay here while working for pay at another location. I do expect at least 5 hours per day on any 5 days of the week.
  
  If things work out well I would like to host for no less than 2 weeks.
