Description
We opened our guest house and yoga retreat in the village of Shroma, Guria, Georgia, in June 2024. It took us, along with friends and volunteers from around the world, a little less than two years to bring new life to an old, abandoned village farmhouse.
Our core team of four has been living in Georgia for over five years, so we know how things work here and are happy to guide you through life and work in the village... oh, and we also have 11 cats and 4 dogs keeping us company!
We're looking for volunteers to help operate the guest house—housekeeping, cleaning, gardening, cooking for our team—as well as those interested in construction and DIY projects.
In return, we offer accommodation in a shared dorm room or tent, three vegetarian meals a day, breathtaking sunsets almost every evening, and warm community time with like-minded people around the fireplace or on our terrace, sharing stories, playing board games, and more.

Batumi is 1 hour drive, Ozurgeti and Poti 30 minutes drive, beach is 20 minutes drive and Bahmaro mountain 1 hour. We have 2 cars in our property and happy to give a ride when time allows otherwise local mini-buses or hitchhiking are always a good option to get to some point.

I had a lovely time staying in Shroma. The community is awesome and there's always work to do, be it on the property, in the house or the kitchen.
