    Description

Hi! I’m Reiner, a 60-year-old physiotherapist living in a small village near Almyros and Agios Spiridon, close to Peritheia on the beautiful island of Corfu. I’m originally from Germany and German is my native language. Since 2016, I’ve enjoyed welcoming travelers, cyclists, and adventurers to my place, but I’m new to Workaway and excited to connect with people from all over the world.

I believe in living simply, but I also value cleanliness and comfort. My home is small and unpretentious, but I always keep the kitchen and bathroom clean and inviting. I appreciate it when guests share this approach and help keep shared spaces tidy for everyone.

Most of my guests prefer to camp on the property, surrounded by olive trees and nature. Some use the second yoga mat and stay inside the house, which is cozy but small—so staying inside can feel quite personal. If you prefer more privacy, you’re always welcome to camp outside or enjoy your own space in the tiny apartment once it’s finished.

I enjoy cooking together or simply sharing a meal. I also love going for walks, swimming, snorkeling, or exploring the island. There’s always something to do or discover!

I’m just starting out with sailing and I’m excited to invite guests to join me on my Edel 6 sailboat for day trips or weekend trips. The boat is cozy and comfortable, but it’s quite small—so it’s best suited for people who enjoy close company and don’t mind a bit of togetherness. On board, we’ll share the adventure, discover hidden bays, and enjoy the beautiful Ionian Sea.

I don’t have a swimming pool, but you’ll always find a refreshing open-air shower under the olive trees—perfect for connecting with nature and enjoying a sense of freedom in your own way. In the summer, I plan to set up a tree tent for relaxing under a mosquito net—a great place to chill out, read a book, or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Here, you’re free to be yourself—whether that means joining in or keeping your distance, enjoying the outdoors, or simply relaxing. This is a place where you can embrace the simple pleasures, let go of everyday worries, and enjoy a truly authentic experience—no matter who you are or where you come from.

I’m happy to share my hands-on skills, local culture, and stories about Corfu, and can also help you learn a bit of Greek or German.
Some guests have expressed interest in learning simple techniques for relaxation or gentle massage—as a former professional teacher, I always create a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for learning.
On outings, I love showing guests around the island and sharing its hidden treasures. I also enjoy learning from my guests and hearing about their experiences and perspectives.
Here, you’ll find a relaxed space to unwind and be yourself.

    Help

I’m looking for friendly, open-minded people who want to help in the garden, with the house, or with the tiny apartment project. No experience is necessary—just a positive attitude and a willingness to learn! I enjoy beginner-friendly activities and am open to moving on to more challenging projects as we go along.

I appreciate it when guests help keep shared spaces clean and tidy. Everyone is encouraged to clean up after themselves and contribute to a pleasant atmosphere. If you like yoga, you’re welcome to join me in the yoga room in the morning or in the evening.

I enjoy doing things together, especially when there’s a good connection, but I also respect everyone’s need for personal space and time alone. Here, you can choose to be close or keep your distance—whatever feels right for you.

If I’m not around, you’re also welcome to take care of the place and enjoy some quiet time.
I’m happy to help with travel or transfer planning and, if it fits with my schedule, I sometimes pick up or drop off guests at the airport or ferry. If you’re open to it, I also love showing visitors around the island and sharing my favorite places and hidden gems.

Everyone is welcome here, regardless of background or identity. My place is a space for freedom, relaxation, and authentic experiences—where you can connect with others or simply enjoy your own company, as you wish. It’s a place to be yourself, to feel comfortable in your own skin, and to embrace the natural way of living.

    Looking forward to meeting you!

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

Most guests enjoy camping under the olive trees in a peaceful, natural setting—perfect for those who love the outdoors and a simple way of living. I provide everything you need for a comfortable stay, including tents, mattresses, and all bedding. Tents are set up on safe, dry ground and are protected from wind and rain, so you can sleep comfortably and securely. If you prefer to stay indoors, there’s a cozy, small room inside the house with a yoga mat for sleeping. Privacy is important to me, so you’re always welcome to choose the space that feels right for you.
Currently, I’m building a tiny apartment—once finished, it will offer a private, comfortable retreat with a lockable door for guests who want more independence and security.
Shared facilities include a clean kitchen, bathroom, and outdoor shower. The property is quiet and secure, with a friendly atmosphere. In summer, a tree tent with mosquito net will be available for relaxing and sleeping.
The neighbors are welcoming and enjoy having guests around—they are helpful and create a friendly community.
I value clear communication and a welcoming environment, so you’ll always feel at home and supported during your stay.
