I stayed with Erika and Markus for just a week, but it was such a lovely and heartwarming experience. From the first day, I felt very welcomed. They’re both kind, generous and easy to talk to. The tasks were simple and relaxed: feeding the turtles, helping in the kitchen or doing small things around the garden.
What made the stay really special
… read more was the atmosphere. I had the chance to meet some of their friends and neighbours in Tafers and I truly enjoyed the conversations and moments shared. It felt like being part of a peaceful, friendly rhythm of life - even for a short time.
The area itself is stunning. I loved walking through the nearby forest and visiting the beautiful mountain lake Schwarzsee.
Thank you both again for having me, I really appreciated the care and openness you shared!

Jade was a very pleasant workaway. She helped us around the house . She cleaned our many windows and the kitchen. She helped us with weeding, fed our turtles and cooked for us. We had an amazing stay with Erika and Markus. They made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived and gave us an authentic Swiss experience.
Our tasks included gardening, cleaning, housework and cooking. The tasks were always well explained and had the proper equipment provided.

I spent three weeks in Switzerland, and it was by far the best Workaway experience I’ve ever had. Just being able to live in such an expensive country like Switzerland for three weeks was an incredible opportunity for me. I love activities, and here, I got to ride an electric bike around the area, go running with Markus, and swim in a beautiful
… read more pool whenever it was hot. It made me so happy to be able to exercise every day in such a beautiful environment.
The food was really delicious, and the room I stayed in was spacious and comfortable, making me feel like I was staying in a luxury resort. The house itself was so beautiful and clean that every moment felt special.
The tasks I took on included occasionally cooking Korean food, cleaning the house and yard, helping prepare for parties, gathering grass to feed the turtles, and sewing baby pants with a sewing machine. The work was not hard at all, and I was able to learn a lot while enjoying myself.
I spent my time here relaxing, having fun, and working out with Markus and Erika, and I had a truly happy time. There were also days when I had dinner with the host family and their friends. Even though there was a language barrier, and communication wasn’t always smooth, their positive energy made me feel good and happy.
On weekends, I went for walks by the nearby lake or went hiking, enjoying the beauty of the region. It was really a dreamlike time, and if I ever return to Europe, I would definitely want to visit this place again. It felt like heaven to me, filled with so many happy memories.
