Description
We're a couple of artists and craft-lovers living just outside Valencia, and we’re excited to share our home, our creative projects, and our love for traditional arts and crafts with fellow creatives. Our main projects involve mosaic creation, ceramics restoration, and experimenting with handmade jewelry. If you enjoy working with your hands and being part of something beautiful and enduring, you’ll feel right at home here. We are not running a business, this is a cultural and creative exchange, not a commercial setup.
Our house is in the middle of the Horta Nord, a historic agricultural region just north of the city of Valencia. This area is known for its farmland, centuries-old irrigation canals, and a peaceful, rural vibe that’s still very much alive. Orange groves, vegetable fields, and quiet lanes winding through small villages where time seems to slow down.
Valencia’s vibrant city centre is just a 20-minute bike ride away! So you’ll get the best of both worlds: tranquil countryside living with easy access to the beach, cafes, markets, and all the culture the city has to offer.
We love the rhythm of life here, mornings in the workshop, and sunset bike rides through the fields. We also love meeting people from around the world who appreciate the slower, more intentional pace of creative living. If that sounds like your kind of experience, we’d love to hear from you!Types of help and learning opportunities

We love creating a space where people can connect, share, and have fun together. When we’re not in the workshop, we enjoy going on bike rides through the orange groves, playing board games, cooking meals together, and sometimes even having a little poetry recital night in the garden or on the roof.
We’re also happy to share what we know, whether it’s computer programming, poetry, or home-cooked food. And we’re equally excited to learn from you, whether it's a recipe from your home country, a new way of thinking, or a different perspective on life.Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
We’re looking for help designing and making trencadís, a mosaic technique using tile fragments.
Alongside that, we also restore antique ceramic tiles in order to reuse them in our home and make furniture pieces. We'll need help bringing them back to life.
We’re not professionals, just passionate learners who’ve fallen in love with these crafts, so we’re hoping to learn together. If you already have experience in design, mosaics, restoration, ceramics, or related arts, we’d love to learn from you. And if you're just starting out, we’ll happily share what we know and figure things out side by side.
Most days we’ll be working together in the studio, sometimes planning a design, other times grouting mosaics or cutting tiles. It’s detailed and sometimes fiddly work, but also really satisfying and creative. If you enjoy making things with your hands, being part of a slow, thoughtful process, and collaborating in a relaxed atmosphere, you'll probably love it here.
We will also ask for a hand with general household tasks like cleaning or helping in the garden.Languages

You'll have your own private double room in our home, perfect for solo travelers or couples. The room has a south-facing window that looks out over the surrounding fields and farmland, a peaceful, green view to wake up to each morning. It’s a cozy, simple space where you can relax and have some quiet time when you need it.
We often share meals together, especially dinners, and we love cooking extra so there’s always something good to eat. Not every meal is communal, sometimes we all do our own thing, especially for breakfast or lunch, so there’s a nice balance of togetherness and independence.
The kitchen is shared and open to use, and we’re always happy to swap recipes or cook something up as a team. Our kitchen is VEGAN, all meals are plant-based. We keep the kitchen free of animal products.
We prefer travellers who are early risers and enjoy a calm evening atmosphere.
We’re just a 20-minute bike ride from the beach, and yes you can borrow a bike.A little more information
