    Description

If you want a peaceful jungle home overlooking the sea on a Caribbean island to to call Home for a month or so, this could be your place!

We are currently looking for low season help:

    - being a host in the space and making our guests feel welcome
    - help keeping the house tidy and full of life (putitng out flowers, sweeping, etc)
    - help keeping the shared kitchen clean
    - cat sitter :) somone to love my kitty while Im away!
    - language exchange with our onsite caretaker/ maintenance man/ captain of the house
    - **yoga teacher (daily all levels vinyasa flow, 8:30am)
    - WordPress/ Elementor help! (please send examples of your work)

We are an eco-lodge in the jungle by the sea on the main island (isla colon) in Bocas Del Toro, Panama. Just a 15 minute taxi ride outside of the main town on isla colon, our neighborhood is called Paunch Beach. We are walking distance from 3 beach clubs, a cafe, and a pizza place and town is 15 minutes in taxi or a 35 minute bike ride (you can easily find a second hand bike to buy on facebook).

Our Home is a little jungle treehouse accommodation (8 tree houses, and a "surf shack" with 9 individual rooms, where you would stay), with a beautiful jungle yoga shala, an ocean view infinity pool, and a shared kitchen (also with an ocean view :).

You will have a private room in the surf shack, the building with 9 individual rooms.

Low Season (May to November) can be pretty relaxed and quiet, with fewer cabins (any where from 1 to 4) booked at a time, but having less guests around makes for a more peaceful atmosphere - a perfect time to journal, deepen your yoga practice, go on long swims and walks down the beach ... to just really enjoy all that island life has to offer!

We have a full time onsite caretaker, Effrain, who lives with us Monday to Saturday. He doesnt speak english (but wants to learn!) and he is so happy to practice spanish with you :). Its a great opportunity for language exchange.

We just ask that you be flexible, help us keep the place nice and tidy, and most importantly that you help create a welcoming environment for our guests.

Island Life in the carribean is a special thing to experience. Our place is in paunch beach and accessible to lots of other islands - so you will meet local people, explore the area, practice spanish, and learn about caribbean life in the paradise.

Our local team is wonderful and super friendly - they would LOVE to practice spanish with you :) Effrain lives with us fulltime and he is super fun and chatty, so if you want to swap stories, no matter how rough your spanish is, I'm sure you will get by! Siempre estamos familia :)

  • What else ...

    What else ...

TAXI TO TOWN - The lodge is an amazing quiet, jungle by the sea location here on the main island in Bocas Del Toro - we are a 10-15 minute taxi ($3-$4 each way) from town, which makes it feel secluded but accessible.

BIKES - You could easily buy a bike (and resell it when you leave) for about $100 or less. Walking distance is several beach bars & restaurants (but no grocery stores outside of town).

BUDGET - Bocas is not the cheapest place you can go in central america. It's cheaper than costa rica, but more expensive than Mexico. Please keep this in mind when budgeting.

FOOD - food is not included, there are grocery stores in town and you have access to our shared kitchen (which you will also share with guests).

during the low season this could work! Its not ideal for someone who has a lot of video calls, but if your work is more email based it should be fine. We have starlink wifi, so its strong but it does cut out from time to time. If youre not on a video call, it should be fine.
