    Description

We are a family of 5 (42, 37, 11, 5, 0) plus 3 dogs. We live on a small farm in a beautiful wine area in mid Germany.

On the farm we run a micro farm animal rescue and currently have chickens and sheep. My husband works from home in IT and we are both running side businesses (food truck and yoga, which is on hold until November).

Food is very important to us, we are vegetarians and love to cook and eat! If you love kids and all sorts of animals, you speak English, enjoy nature, are respectful, responsible, down to earth, passionate and caring, keep reading!

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

You love nature? You love the outdoors? Or even wine? You can find all this here on our doorstep. We live in a tiny village but the bigger cities are only minutes away! Frankfurt is about 50 minutes, Mainz about 20 minutes, Heidelberg, Mannheim, Kaiserslautern are all reachable within 30-40 minutes. The train station is 5 minutes away as well as shopping, doctors etc.

the area „Pfälzer Wald“ is also reachable by car. France is only 2 hours away, Netherlands and Austria about 4 hours.

We are living our dream and work hard for it and would love someone who can help us with it!

What can we learn from you? What are your values and passions? What skills do you bring? What can we learn from you about your culture? What can we do to make this experience as enjoyable and rewarding for you as possible? How can we help you with your mission?

We are very excited to meet you and show you our little piece of earth.

    Help

We are looking for help around the house, with the animals and the garden. There is plenty of projects in the pipeline that we would love to start but currently there simply is no time or manpower! Maybe you have special skills to help with one of them!

A couple of projects I would like to do:
    - build raised garden beds and plant a shit load of veggies
    - clean up around the house and garden
    - build a fence for our sheep (plan is ready to go)
    - build a barefoot path
    - build bee hotel
    - plant a chicken garden and some chicken shelters
    - clean all windows of the house
    - 2026 we want to build a wooden deck and pool
    - 2026 we want to build a paddock paradise
    - build a garden house from old windows

Some things are small, some not so much, but with a baby and two more kids everything is hard to do by myself! I will always help if I can. I workawayed myself and had one really unfair experience so im very aware and considerate about fair exchange!

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

You will have your own room with own entrance and own balcony. You can use a bathroom that is for guests so not used much but it is beautiful and has a walk in rainfall shower with the possibility to sit down! However, the bathroom is on the other side of the house so you will need to walk there. (All inside)

We built everything in our house ourselves so we ask you to be very respectful with it.
