    Description

Hello! Our names are Niklas and Nancy we have two children named Aiden (5Y) and Maiara Rose (1,5Y) we have a cat called Idefix and a sausage dog puppy called Frida.
We live in a very cute village in the beautiful Balearic Islands, more specifically Mallorca but we have international backgrounds, at home we speak English, German and Spanish.
We are warm open hearted, light-minded people that love meeting friends to share nice meals together, go for a hike or enjoy a sunset on the beach, we love meeting people from all over the world, we also love eating healthy, we don’t eat meat, dairy, and eggs but do eat occasionally fish (it’s difficult to avoid that when living on an island!) we ame meeting travelers that can not only help us with the children, pets and house but share a conversation and views of life.

Our pets are adorable, both cat and dog are best friends and love each other, you will love seeing them play and sleep together, they will make you laugh and melt in a cuteness overload, TLC is all what they need.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Experiencing life on an island is always something special, having the opportunity to go to the beach everyday, experiencing different local festivities, Mallorcas weather is beautiful and most days are sunny, there are lots of markets to visit and outdoor activities to enjoy like for example amazing hikes, boat trips, visiting stunning natural caves, etc lots of fun events are happening very often in beautiful fincas mainly outdoors both during the night or day where one can again enjoy the sun and meets great people. There is always something going on on the island!

    Accommodation

For our guests we have a spare room and a big bathroom, we have 3 bathrooms in the house but that specific bathroom has the bathtub so we will have to use that when bathing the children.

For the meals we will offer the dinners as this is a moment when we cook and eat together

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Ideally we highly recommend being autonomous having a car or scooter would be perfect, we live in the middle of the island in a very small village so it could become quite isolating for those without transport, having said that, our village does counts with a bus stop and a Train station which is not directly in the village but a 25min walk on a road through the countryside (we will offer occasional drop off and pick up at the station but we can’t be completely responsible of this)

As we are a family we follow our children’s routines. During the week our son Aiden goes to kindergarten and leaves the house at around 8:30 with one of us to be dropped off. Niklas would also leave to work sometimes as he also works from home.
Our smallest child Maiara Rose, goes to no daycare at all so she is always with us. In the morning she has a nap at around 11:00am (it’s important to not be very noisy when she sleeps in the house) I usually go out in the pram with her and our dog for a long walk and I let Maiara Rose to continue sleeping when we get back home. Then we leave at 13:30 to collect Aiden again at 14:00, we get back home at around 14:30/15:00 and we have lunch, then we play a bit and shortly after it’s Maiara Roses nap time again so we go out with the pram and walk the dogs.
When we get home the children should play, Niklas finishes work at around 6 or 7pm, so we have dinner, bath the children and then it’s bed time.

Smoking is NOT allowed in any areas of the house.
