    Description

    Kia ora,
we are an easy-going french / kiwi couple who enjoy sharing our cultures and learning new ones. Between the 2 of us we speak English, French, Maori and Spanish. We enjoy the outdoors and also have a girl called Māhina.

Our house is called is situated 17kms from Whitianga in the Coromandel .
It is a very beautiful and special place but it won't fit everyone. The house is set in the bush in complete privacy. It was built by a man all by himself, insulated with sheep wool, made of timber, with stained windows. We have added a little sleepout where helpers will stay .
The place is completely off the grid. The solar system allows you to have lights at night and durinh day time and if not extremly grey to charge up your phone, computers etc...

We have internet connection that works most of the time and phone coverage on some part of the property .
We have a small fridge. The hot water system is connected to the wetback and to the solar system, so to get hot water you need to light our beautiful wood-stove or be lucky with a sunny day ..

We are on tank water so you will have to be very mindful of your water consumption ( unless it rains a lot :-))...

We have a composting toilet system at the back of the garden by the main house ..

The house is at the top of a steep hill. You'll need a 4WD to get there or walk the 250 meters drive-way.

We have 4 chicken and a cat ...

this place would fit people who are after a different kind of experience, to reconnect with nature..

We are looking for 2 helpers who have Tree Pruning experience to prune the Orchard and the native trees around the house ..
