  Description

  New Yoga Retreat in Kampot Cambodia. This place is starting a full time retreat program in January 2025 and before then we will be hosting small events and preparing the space.
  
  We have a large villa, with a rooftop yoga space with views of the mountains. The owner is Khmer and she will be managing the food and accommodation side of things: she is a brilliant cook and recently was part of the management team for a successful Yoga retreat here. I am from the UK and have a lot of experience in marketing retreats.
  
  The local area is peaceful and close to many areas of natural beauty, but it is only a few kilometers from Kampot Town center so you can find everything you need. The building has just been completed, everything is ultra-modern and comfortable.
  
  We welcome a volunteer Yoga teacher who can teach up to two classes a day, and help us get the center ready for our full program starting in January. Somebody with experience in social media marketing would also be appreciated, or somebody who would like to learn more about this.
  
  We are committed to help the local economy: the owner of the property is Khmer, and she will also be the manager of the hotel side of the business. We use local massage and holistic healing practitioners , cooking and domestic staff. We will be offering free Yoga sessions for local children twice a month. Since the majority of the the customers will be from Europe and the US, we need teachers who can teach in English. We comply with local labor laws and can help you to get any necessary paperwork for longer stays.
  
  You will get a private room (see the photos) and three meals a day cooked by an experienced Khmer chef.

  Since the owner is Khmer, you will be able to learn something about the culture. I have previous experience setting up and marketing retreats, so I can help you to learn about that if you are interesting (building a website and so on). There will be a lot of opportunities to connect with local people and even practice the language if you like.

  Help

  This is a brand new retreat center, before we start the full program we are looking for a volunteer who can teach up to two classes a day, help us prepare the space, facilitate some free / donation based classes, spread the word and set up social media and so on.
  
  We want somebody who is a good communicator and can welcome the guests and help them to communicate with the Khmer staff when needed.
  
  We are looking for a Yoga teacher who is passionate about the practice and its ability to heal and empower people. Ideally it would be somebody who has some experience with marketing retreats, but this is something we can teach you about. We are looking for somebody with a lot of creative ideas who can help us bring our vision to life.

  The volunteer will be given a newly decorated, luxury room in the villa with a private bathroom. You will be able to use the kitchen downstairs, and meals will be provided (the owner is a great cook). The rooms have a great view, and there is a rooftop area available for Yoga.

  What else ...

  If you can drive a moto, it will make your life easier, especially if you want to go to the downtown area where all the restaurants and cafes are. A moto can be provided. But it is easy to find a TukTuk if needed. There are plenty of things to visit in the local area: waterfalls, caves, the national park. The downtown area is fairly popular with backpackers and there are often music events. There is also an ex-pat community from all over the world.

  The WiFi is generally good but it can be temperamental so it is recommended to get a local SIM so you can make a hotspot if needed. Data is very cheap and it is fast enough for most types of remote working.
