Description
We are a busy house with 3 boys, 10yo and a pair of 12yo spectrum kids.
We love adventures and have a few regular routines which would be interesting to join for a few train rides.
The kids have a few extra supports that work with them during the school year that are filling up for the summer also.
lots of cultural happenings in the Valley and easy striking distance for most Vancouver island adventures.
We could likely provide occasional weekend transportation for your own island adventures.
lots of random jobs to get stuck into as it’s been hard to find time. Kids starting summer break has complicated matters further.
We enjoy campfires and BBQing, the kids are out of school now and enjoy going to the local pool and adventures to see their grandmothers.
dad is currently recovering from back injury and mom is has re-joined the workforce.
We have a small acreage that we have been slowly moving toward a hobby farm from a blackberry infestation, just need extra hands/eyes.
We have some egg laying chickens and a couple of pigs that are more in the pet category.
Would like some sheep in the near future for milking and wool harvest, that requires some fencing.
There are many activities to do locally, we are walking distance to forest and beach walks, mountain bike trails within riding distance.
Ideal candidates would be a couple that we find a balance of odd jobs and meal prep.
I like getting the kids to help with farm chores and during the summer months with some extra hands and eyes we could have some good and needed developmental leaps,
Need help with the basics pretty much.
We believe regenerative farming as a sustainable way to eat healthy food and respect the land building healthy soil and fresh veggies.
We’re just not there yet, but the concept is amazing 🤩
As a couple we used to enjoy board games, exit room scenarios and some socializing, while that’s been a bit hard to find over the last number of years, the will is still there.
I think I remember how to play our amazing 3D catan game. 🫣

We are a sort of typical family, living a sort of typical life.
Both parents have travelled, but have been very busy with our energetic family.
With all the abundance of nature the local area has to offer it’s hard to go wrong.
With the kids being language delay family times are interesting and rewarding when you find or have a click.
There are so many adventures available right at the doorstep, lovely ocean view forest walks, beaches. Small town but close to big things also.
Sailing is a potential.?Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
There are many task to be considered.
-Farm fencing
-Mini barn building (sheds really)
-soil prep for vegetable beds
-Home improvements.
-.-plastering
-.-siding
-.-deck repair
-Machine maintenance
-maybe build a BMX jump area
To many different to list, although a list could be provided. There are some things we really need done and there are some cool projects to pick through to bring joy or an opportunity to learn a new skill.
-Last month we got to use a refurbished soil sifter to get the garden beds started, a 2 day job that has been in the works for a few months now due to restrictive nature of injury..
Since the injury James’ power has been reduced significantly but the will is still there are many chances to learn new skills, think outside the box and more importantly do them hands on.
