Description
Hello!
My name is Andressa (or Andie for short), I am the secretary of the association, which is nested in a beautiful manor in Brittany, France!
With the manors owner, I am developing a project in Social and Solidarity Economy, to make cultural and artistic activities more available and accessible in the region.
I also studied Fine Arts, and work with illustration and decorative painting (panels, murals, etc) when projects arise.
Besides that I love working with traditional crafts, and have participated in projects of hempcrete building, lime plastering and clay finishes.
Brittany is wonderful corner of the world, with a lot of green, celtic folklore and standing stones. It has a magic of it's own, and traditions still stand well here, as you'll be able to see in the many crafts and medieval markets throughout the summer.
We are located in a beautiful area, close to lakes and cycling lanes – you can borrow a bike to move around – with bakeries, shops and supermarkets nearby.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
What we offer here is more than just accommodation: it's a human and creative experience in a place undergoing a profound transformation.
You can discover rural life in Brittany, its gentle pace, its lush landscapes, its local markets, its village festivals... and also share simple moments around a meal, a campfire, or a creative workshop.
We love to talk about traditional skills, natural building, medicinal plants, crafts, and music, and we're also curious to know what you'd like to share. Whether you're an artist, a gardener, a dreamer, or simply passing through, you can find room here for an exchange of gestures, ideas, and smiles.
You'll also have the opportunity to participate in the events we organize: concerts, workshops, community gatherings, etc. It's an opportunity to meet local people, explore the local culture in a different way, and experience the place as a member of the community.
Everyone comes here with their own story, and it's this diversity that makes the adventure so rich.Help
You’ll be volunteering with the association, helping with:
🌱 Watering plants and helping in the garden
🛠️ Lending a hand during deck-building for our glamping tents
🍽️ Light housework: cleaning and doing dishes
🎪 Setting up for events: helping put up tents, move tables and chairs, decorate, and assist with general logistics
All the events and activities held by the association are non profit, and when we host an event (like small concerts, creative workshops or gatherings), you're part of the celebration too — you’re welcome to take part in the activities, meet lovely people, and enjoy the atmosphere.Languages spoken

You can share a bedroom with me on the third floor of the manor:
– Two single beds (one occupied by me :) ), a dresser for your clothes, plenty of books and a bathroom with shower. Keep in mind that there are four cats on the property, so if you have allergies it might a bit problematic.
– If you're feeling more adventurous you can also stay in a glamping tent with a bed set inside. The ground floor bathrooms are quite done yet though, so the shower room will still be the one on the third floor!
You'll have free access to the kitchen and fridge, garden, the balcony with sports equipment, and other common areas. Anoushka will also sometimes cook a full lunch or dinner for you, and she's an amazing cook!
We will provide all structure and ingredients necessary for the volunteers to cook independently, as well as fully prepared meals when the schedule allows (event days can be a bit tight!)A little more information
