Description
We are an international family of four with two professionals and two almost grown daughters who attend university. We live on a semi-bush property close to hiking, mountain biking and a whole row of beautiful beaches and rock pools. We love to travel, spend time outdoors and to garden and DIY in and around the house and always have a project on the go. We have a sweet dog who is always up for a play and a cuddle. We have a twin guest room with shared bathroom available.

We are of European origins (Swedish and Dutch) but have lived across the world, and in Australia for the last 19 years, so our house culture is quite mixed. We love travelling and meeting new cultures.
Help
Workawayers could help out with building, painting, gardening and bush regeneration (such as putting in retaining walls or planting trees), cooking dinner, or other types of chores and DIY things around the house. If you are happy to give it a go, you’re a good fit:-)

We have a twin guestroom overlooking the back garden and bush with shared bathroom available. We will provide food; some meals will be shared (most likely dinners when we are at home) and other meals the Workawayers can prepare themselves. Our meals are largely vegetarian.
What else ...
Woonona is located on the coast about 1 hour South of Sydney and is easy to reach by train. Wollongong is the closest city, about a 10-15 minute drive, and there are also frequent buses leaving from the bottom of our road. The area is great for hiking, mountain biking, surfing, swimming, or just relaxing on the beach. There are a number of gyms in Woonona and good cafes and restaurants nearby. We have a couple of bicycles availble for use by the Workawayers.
It would be great if the Workawayers can help out in the weekend, when we do most of our garden/DIY work. We expect the Workawayers to help out to prepare dinner and clean up afterwards (like the rest of the family does) and to keep their personal items in their room.
I often work from home and my office is next to the guestroom, but that shouldn’t cause any issues.A little more information

The house is large and beautiful, just like the garden, and I had access to all shared areas of the home.
The surroundings are very peaceful, located next the forest, which makes for a lovely atmosphere. If you're lucky you can see some beautiful birds in the garden!

The house is large and beautiful. We had a comfortable room upstairs and were welcome to use shared spaces like the living room, kitchen, outdoor seating, backyard, and bathrooms.
