Description
Hello!
My name is Yago, but my friends call me Boody (I’m Spanish with original from Egypt, also a bit italian XD) I’m a software developer and live in a cozy little house in Lliria, Valencia. I love cooking and sharing meals—so if you enjoy good food and relaxed, friendly vibes, you’ll feel right at home here.
I’d be happy to show you around Valencia when possible—maybe a beach day on the weekend or a hike in the nearby mountains. And if I’m busy, no worries! The metro connects my house directly to the city, so you can explore on your own too.
I’m a non-smoker and only drink occasionally. I really enjoy meeting people from around the world, exchanging stories, ideas, and good energy. Hosting Workawayers is a way for me to learn, share, and create meaningful experiences together.
⸻
What you’ll be helping with
I’m currently doing small creative and maintenance projects around my home and garden. The help is light, and no experience is needed—just a bit of motivation and curiosity!
Tasks may include:
• Creating decorative mosaics (I’ll provide guidance and materials!)
• Taking care of my plants, watering, pruning, and a little gardening
• Organizing spaces and helping keep things tidy
• Light DIY and decorating projects—nothing heavy or technical
The atmosphere is very relaxed—this is not a job, but a shared experience based on cultural exchange and collaboration. Any specialized or professional work is always done by local workers.
⸻
🏡 Where and what you get
In exchange for your help (25 hours per week, flexible schedule), I offer:
• A private room in my home
• All meals included—we’ll often cook together, or I’ll cook for you
• Two full days off each week
• Occasional trips to my countryside place in Olocau, where we can relax in nature, and also to the flat on the sea in Cullera :)
⸻
If you’re curious, creative, and open to new experiences, I’d love to welcome you into my home and share this little slice of Valencia with you.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Staying with me offers a unique cultural exchange experience. I am half Egyptian, half Spanish, with some Italian heritage as well. This blend of cultures is reflected in my home and lifestyle, providing a rich and diverse cultural environment.
1. **Culinary Diversity:** One of the best ways to experience a culture is through its food. I love cooking and can share with you a variety of dishes from Spanish, Egyptian, and Italian cuisines. We can cook together, and you’ll have the chance to learn recipes and cooking techniques from these different cultures.
2. **Language Exchange:** I speak Spanish and can help you practice if you are looking to improve your Spanish skills. Additionally, I can share some basics of Arabic and Italian. Language is a big part of culture, and this exchange can be a fun and educational experience.
3. **Exploring Local Culture:** With my motorcycle, I can take you around Valencia and Lliria, showing you local sights, festivals, and hidden gems that reflect the vibrant Spanish culture. You’ll have the opportunity to see how different cultures blend in this beautiful region.
4. **Cultural Traditions:** I can share stories and traditions from my Egyptian and Spanish backgrounds, and we can celebrate various cultural events together. This is a great opportunity to learn about different customs and ways of life.
I believe that cultural exchange is a two-way street, so I am also eager to learn about your culture and experiences. Together, we can create a rich and rewarding cultural exchange.Help
I’m looking for a friendly and easygoing Workawayer to help out with small tasks around the home. The main tasks include:
1. Cat care – Feeding, playing, and making sure my cat is happy.
2. Cleaning and organizing – Helping keep things tidy, sorting out spaces, and making the home more comfortable.
3. Creative projects – Occasionally refreshing spaces with decoration or small improvements (nothing major or specialised).
I also spend time in a small house in the countryside, about 15 minutes from Lliria (Olocau), surrounded by nature. While my main location is in Lliria, I sometimes go there for small projects and to take care of some chickens. If you enjoy nature, you’re welcome to join me there occasionally for a change of scenery.Languages
