Stay at Oriel's house was full of new things and exciting every day. The house that John built was very stylish, humorous, and very cute. I also want to renovate a stylish house in Japan, so I learned a lot. In addition, Oriel had a lot of fruits and vegetables at home, and I was very happy to be able to eat fresh vegetables every day.
I was happy

I learned that painting can be done very beautifully by following the steps of sanding, painting, and sanding again.
It was also a great experience to ride on a large lawn mower. It was my first time, but Oriel taught me carefully. (despite my poor English)
It was also my first experience caring for cows and chickens.
I would like to thank Oriel and her family for giving me such a valuable experience.

Zuzana was a delight to have stay, we enjoyed her company. She was enthusiastic and willing to try any task asked of her, able to work alone if needed and worked well as part of a team. Zuzana was eager to participate in the house as well, even if she had already completed her tasks for the day. She was keen to learn new skills and determined to

I has just left Oriel & John’s house today and I already miss them. They are incredibly kind and generous so I can only agree with previous review. I spent there 10 days, mostly helping to Oriel. My first task was to feed two baby goats from a bottle (cuteness level 100😁). Then I helped with goat milking, gardening, cleaning and also a bit in the

We spent the evenings talking or relaxing at the TV. John told me about past and current situation in agriculture or about their roadtrips to Australia ☺️ I had my own room with bathroom and the food was absolutely amazing. Almost everything came from their own production - from fruits and vegetable to goat milk products and beef. I think I have 5 kg more, but I just couldn’t help myself😁 And I fell in love with their dog Shadow of course. You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

My time with John & Oriel was simply the best first workaway experience I could ask for. I ended up staying quite a while longer than planned (over a month), due to the days just sailing by, having a great time working with John and sometimes Oriel with planting. The food is simply absolutely amazing, the vast majority of it being homegrown
… read more veggies, and beef from their own beautiful herd. Oriel puts it all together with her homemade cheese absolutely wonderfully, I have never eaten so well! The house that John built is absolutely stunning, with amazing views over their property and beyond, many nights spent on the porch chatting about life, the universe etc will never be forgotten! Most of the time will be spent laughing, the banter between John and Oriel is always a pleasure to see, and the general mood was always so inviting. They've had many woofers over the years and its obvious to see with their accommodating nature and brilliant hosting skills. I had an absolutely amazing time there to start of my New Zealand travels, and time that I will hopefully never forget! Thanks John & Oriel for everything, hopefully I'll catch you again sometime! You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.
